I just purchased a DP301-010 Reciever on EBAY and it works great EXCEPT! It has a Parental Control Password assigned to the reciever. Is there anyway to break through this to get rid of it. Any assistance on this would be appreaciated. Thanks in advance for any help with this.:o

read eprom . open up with note pad - it will be the 4 numbers in a row you find in the eprom

If you can read it, you can write it, just write a virgin and be done with it.

Press "Menu", "6", "3", then quickly, "Info", Right Arrow, Left Arrow (this should bring you to Memory Dump screen) DO NOT HIT "TV/VIDEO" button. Simply scroll down using
the down arrow button on the remote to the line NVM 0320. Going across, you should see 4 large groups of numbers (most of them 0's) Go to the second group of numbers.
Here is how you figure out what the password is: If it says 31 32 33 34, the password is 1234. If it says 39 38 37 36, the password is 9876. All you do is eliminate the first 3 in
every group of 2 numbers. The 4 numers left over is the password.

Still having issues... I would rather not jtag if I do not really have too.... Is there anyway to find this info in the BIN file. I have tried the proceedure to get down to the NVM 0320 and there is not any 31 32 33 34 style info. All 0's. I do have on that line is:

NVM 0320: 00000000 00000000 00000800 00000410

Thanks in advance.

That's why I asked if that method still works, I don't think it does with later flashes.

Well.. Running P241... Guess I will have to find a virgin to put in it, and then start the dam thing over... Thanks for all the assistance.

It will lock you out of your card.. LOL

Make sure its 03 or unlocked..

If you lock yourself out (I have) at least you will
be locked out at rev103..:D
