I'm a canadian living in Florida and I'm using my Bell Sub down here. Some channels don't come in. I have read that the further south you get, you lose some channels....I also read that you can get the channels if you use a bigger dish. Anyone know anything about this??

Yes, bev is aimed north, so southern states get very weak signal on some transponders, a bigger dish definately will help. May need to go 36 inches or bigger tho.

do you think a 24" would do it?

No, some transponders here, and I am just North of you, are -0- strength, so prolly need 36 or more.

I was just looking at a 36" oval dish network dish.....will that be compatable with my BEV set up?

Im trying to find the bev 82 sat.

im using a dish 500 antenna w/ the twin dishpro lnb diret connected to a 3100.

I was able to find the 91 with no problem and figured the 82 would fall in just like the 119 and 110 do. I loaded my lat longs and got the right skew and elevation I kinda winged it on the azmith (i dont have a meter or compass) I used the 11 transponder on the 91 sat and im getting an 82 signal strength. I ran a check switch and all is comming up for the 91 but the 82 is Xed out. ive moved it around freehand trying to just pick up the 82 and nothing.

any advice?

Here what works for me.

look at the front on the dish.

ccw rotation 5-10 degrees.

from top right lnb is your 91

bottom left is 82.

cover over bottom one to be sure only 91 searching. find it
then cover 91 and verify 82

then if both then uncover and check switch.

works well in eastern canada
