Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, Ok here is my idea we all live around the country and around the world, somethings with hacked dish we cant get, NFL games in other markets. so Im in South Carolina but im a Patriots fan (from New England not on the band wagon) I cant get patriots games unless I order NFL seaon ticket from D*ve maybe someone like the Panthers and get the Panthers in your market etc........... my idea is the sling box and sharing the games with each other Ill give 2 or 3 people my pass word for the day to log on to my sling box and someone share the pats game with me and so on, just another way to maybe f*ck Dave since he made it imposible to hack his system and we use Ch*rlies system to f*ck D*ve with LOL. this season is a loss for me I have already paid for the season ticket but next year , and for all you other sportsa fans you guys can start sharing with each other too, that can go with pay per view pay per view or anything we can share with each other. let me know what you guys think and if it seems possible.
thanks for reading

I don't have Slingbox but I assume that in order to connect to yours you'd have to provide your IP address. That'd be fine if you are willing to be totally busted. Otherwise if I were you I'd forget about it... There's NO WAY for you to be sure that anybody you talk to here or on any other site isn't workin' for the man.

Im looking into how the sling works, worst case senerio is if you have friends that you trust and know from the market you want to catch the game from then that is a good option still, just a thought, maybe from on here its not a good idea but yet still possible through trusted friends, thanks for the input though.
just add the locals from where the game is played.
I.E if your a pats fan add the NE locals. This should get you those games

Slingbox is already under attack by Major league Baseball. It's only a matter of time before the NFL tries to put a stop to Slingbox.

Might check into getting Providence RI. I would think the Pats would be the "home team" in Providence. If that is the case, Providence is on a CONUS signal on 61.5, so you could get it anywhere you can get 61.5. HTH

sling box is a great invention. I rarely use mine but when i do it is great. gonna be out of town for the night and somethign coming on ppv i want to see. I can log right in and do it. but as for your ip being up for grabs as well as your network. sharing with anyone you do not know is not a good idea.

You don't share an IP address. Slingbox encrypts the address with a specially generated key that could theoretically be shared.
Drawback is i believe that you can only have 1 connected user at a time.
A slingbox is not the same thing as a slinger....in case anybody is confused about that. This thread is originally from 2007.
