If you are refering to the 1000.2 triple dish the switch is built in and has 3 outputs and one input for an extra sat for locals.

Do a check switch with no sat cable connected first. Clears the current switch info in the ird.

If you have it dialed in at the antenna, (did you use a meter?) reconnect the cable and do another check switch.

It will report a DPP 1K.2 switch found.

Why does it have 3 cables if it has a internal switch and if so do you connect the middle cable

The 3 cables are in fact three outputs for 3 different receivers, if only using one receiver then only one cable is needed. Yes the switch is built in. I use one for my vip722 receiver. I also have a second dish, a dish 500 with one lnb pointed at 61.5 so i can get my local channels in hd. The output from the second dish is hooked to the input on the dish 1000.2, it has four inputs and like i stated earlier, 3 outputs for three receivers. Also there may be a few other channels in my sub. that uses 61.5. I test with a 508.

I see. What threw me was a digram of a DPP44. I thought it was 3 into 1 but now I get it that when they connect the dish to a DPP44 they are connecting 3 cables from the dish to feed threw to 3v receivers. Well I am getting 110 so I guess I will have to adjust the dish to get the 119 and 129 or it may be a voltage problem and I'll have to get a DPP44 because it has a power supply. Damn that thing is expensive.

Make sure you are plugged into PORT #1/A when you are initially peaking your dish. Set the skew correctly and 110/129 will pop in when 119 is peaked.

I use two Dish1000.2's to receive the Bev sats way down here in south-central Texas. I get excellent reception on them!

Right now I am connected straight to the receiver, no switch. I don't have a meter so I have been using the dish pointing suppled in the receiver. Makes it hard to do but its all I got. I am in Big D. What is the skew for here. It use to show in dish pointing but yesterday it would not show this zip. It is showing some different sats. ???????
