Hello, I'm new to Dish. I have a mili 811- 1000.2 dish -dpp44 switch- about 125' from receiver. When first installed I could not get the receiver to pick up ths sat signal. Took the receiver & tv out to dish- Peaked the dish to peg on 110- 119 and ~89 on 129. Took the receiver in and it worked great about 1 day. Now it has lost the sat & can not find the ddp44 switch. The receiver boots to the aquireing sat signal with no luck. The dish is locked down and has not moved. Since I am new to dish and the games played my question is this. Is this hardware? something wrong with the receiver? bad switch? ( new 1 daw old). Wiring? or a method used to kill my system? Any thoughts. All suggestions appreciated. If it is hardware my plans is to move the switch closer to the receiver if that does not work lay new wire. and last replace switch. If that does not fix it it must be the 811. Help- thoughts - anything I am missing.:confused:
