i do not know for sure.
this is what i would do. waiting 6 hours .lol
using jkeys read the tsop and save it .
then see if you can open up that saved tsop in flashedit.
and also i just thought of something.
are you getting a pretty accurate info showing up in jkeys ?
or is it all jiberish ?
dont erase nothing till you know for sure. lol

Those have a few different TSOP configurations depending on the chipsets. 501 and older 508's were the same except 508's had a larger hard drive for more dvr recording time. You should be OK.

Depends on how receiver was flashed.
No-rsa flashes are typically either 501 or 508 moved bootstrap.
Chip set has nothing to do with it.
Any flash type, "501", "508 moved bootstrap", or "508 moved id info", will work with any 501/508/510, just depends on what fix is being employed.
My fix uses 508 moved ird info, no matter if I use a 501, a 508 or a 510 receiver. As I use a private keys with SKs.
Public no-rsa can use a 501 or 508 moved bootstrap type flash..
Any flash type can be converted to any other type by moving data.
thank you for the replies i should have given more information. jkeys read it without a problem except showing 501 this receiver has never been jtagged and its pretty old flashedit reads the save no problem ive never done a pvr so just wanted to make sure first again thanks for the responses
