I'm still pretty new to this device, but I did overcome a couple simple issues to get my computer to properly communicate with the USB atmega256. Barring the possiblility you got a faulty card, there are basically only two things that could be the problem.

First, you MUST install the drivers for the software. To do this you simply double click on the "USB2.0 - Windows" .exe file in the driver file provided with the programming software. You may have to restart your computer before the drivers are properly installed.

Second, there are a lot of different USB cables out there. I was shocked to find out there were 5 different versions of the cable with a mini USB on one end and a regular USB on the other. Apparently these cables aren't as standardized as they should be. The cable I bought is a "Type A - 5 Pin (mini-B)" On the bag it says "Connects a computer or USB hub to digital camera, MP3 player, PDA and other portable devices". So I'm assuming most cables for camera's and the like should work, but make sure it is a 5 pin cable.

It wouldn't suprise me if there is a difference between mother boards and how they process USB input and whether or not they are USB 2.0 compatable as well, but I havn't read anything solid that would support this theory.

I don't have any enigma cards to test with, but I'm assuming, since it's also USB programable, that this information applies to the enigma card as well.

Where can I find this file that you mentioned "First, you MUST install the drivers for the software. To do this you simply double click on the "USB2.0 - Windows" .exe file in the driver file provided with the programming software. You may have to restart your computer before the drivers are properly installed."
I just received the card without any files. I have purchased the mini cable and it must be this driver. THanks

Its in the software. Just download the usb 256 4.02 and the drivers should be in the same folder. Open the folder and double click the usb 2.0 windows and it should install. Best bet is to restart your computer to make sure it installs. Hope this helps.

Not sure what you are trying to do ...... If your reciever has already been modified with public or private numbers there is nothing else you write to the reciever. You simply install the driver files for the USB Atmega card on your PC, then do the few steps to put the data from your PC onto the card.

Can you be more specific ?

AND I got the file from Mili's VIP Download Section. What can I do to reconfigure?? I use Windows XP pro.

Um, I think the usb256 is down for good. We'll see, but that's what it looks like at this time. Don't put any extra effort into getting this issue resolved unless something changes.
