hi everyone,i have a laptop computer that has no parallel port and i want to use it to programm atmega,is there is any adapter or some setting i have to change to make it work with atmega cards?any help will be well apreciate thanks.

from what i read in the forums here, if you have USB atmega you can use your laptop with it.
If you are planning to use a usb-to-parallel cable to program your atmega, it is not going to happen. You laptop will recognize the usb-to-parallel cable as Virtual printing port and not LPT1.
