Hello Folks:

Just An Assumption Here But I Hae Been Around Satellite TV For A While, And Just Wondering If The Boyz At D** Or D**h Can Add Programming Turn A System Off And On VIA the Airstream, And Diagnose IRD Issues, Why Doesn't One Of Our Wonderful Folks In the Free World Design A Programmer That Plugs Into The Sat Connection On the IRD And Hook To The PC And Come Up With A Way To Program IRD's, Cards, And Possibly EEproms And TSOP... If They Can We Should Be able To Also...

Before anything can be done to answer your question...I'd suggest that you don't do blue ASCII with a black background, it's not what everyone would refer to as 'netetiquette', so PLS use the defaults.

If you can design a system like that I will personally guarantee that you will be a rich man. All you'd have to do then is to subscribe to everything one time and then log the stream, and sell that log. Everyone could then stream it into their irds and Whammo! you'd have all the channels!

Someone Said It Is Being Done But You Need The Front Door Keys, Well I Think If It Is Streamed We Could Read The Keys Also, Or A Disgruntled Employee Would Sell them Out...What Do You Think?

From what I understand is that the stream is highly encrypted and no one decrypted it yet.

Exactly and the house is Wired, no sense kicking in the back door as what's needed is on the 2nd Floor. :-( :-(
