If it is truly virgin, there's an easy way to find out. Hook it up to a TV and go to the third system info screen. If it says DNASP 103 rev 300, then that's a good sign of its virginity. If it is, in fact, virgin, then the cam is not married to the TSOP, and you won't be able to get video, so you will have to swap out the TSOP in order to test it. There is no B3V-equivalent IRD to the 921, so it would be for testing Charlie only.

Replacing the TSOP is just ONE way to get it working. Yes, a BGA chip rom 103 card will work as well as plastic.

No, they came with rom 103 cards. The 942 has a rom 103 icam.

Thanks for the replies. So what would be the easiest way to get this reciever working? Is there a way to read/write T-sop? Totally lost when it comes to this reciver.
