I have a 2700 and was wanting to see if there might be some detailed instructions on installing a jtag through the phone jack on the back of the receiver.

You bet. Search the dowload forums for (phone jack jtag) I don't know if it's in ours any more because mili redid that whole forum not to long ago.

WHY? 2700 has jtag hole and pads in bottom, easy as it gets...

Sometimes the 2700 is a good box to do your first hardware mod of any kind on. That way you'll know you can get it right on a box worth more than $2 when you do go for it. I've never been a fan of the internal jtag myself, course, I pretty much don't touch anything that can't at least be ejtag'ged.

I've done many 301's this way and even sucessfully modded many 510's but i've never done a 2700, i just like the clean/no mod appearance it leaves.
I've been out of the game for over a year and lost all my files.
