510 + Blackscreen

Everything seems ok, except for black screen. I suspect I haven't fixed my bn102 correctly. What are the proper steps using GENDT08 to get my bn102 right? Without having to reflash or marry again.

I did this:

Loaded TSOP
Loaded Clean.bn102
Edited my S00 #'s, time zone, and keys
CARD RSA>CALC SK>SAVE CARD

I have Black screen. With Atmega 128, 256, and Enigma. What am i missing?

Well first you need to decide whether to use SK or DT08. If you have another setup I would just use those #s.
And then when you generate the married set make sure you save the keys, that way you don't have to re-jtag your ird again and again, just load the keys onto the eeprom bin you're using..
And make sure you uncheck the box to FF out your old numbers.
GenDT08 has a good help section, it's just a little dated.

Also I wrote a very detailed how-to for a 301 and Enigma. It's in the Enigma section, if you need it. 301s are a lot like the 501s; it's pretty much the same procedure.

Gendt08-sk will not work on P400 or P401!

what changed to cause this not to work?
I am curious as I have a 501 sk that was made with gendt08. If i updated to newest tsop would it not work then?

After it updates to P401, there is no reason to use GenDT-08-SK.
Do all your work with a virgin flash, get numbers correct, then when it streams up to P401 it should be fine. You need the virgin flash to marry the drive anyway.

Oh ok, i was totally confused there, I was thinking if you used gendt08 before the update then the recievers sk's wouldnt work. Thanks for clearing that up for me

CS App in p400, and p401 are incorrect and GENdT08 wants to auto-correct that. So GenDT08 needs updated (Is the creator still around..?). Do all of your work before hand. I just left FFFFF Out Old BoxKeys Checked when i was working with p304. Went back thru it and saw that and changed it.. bam! came right on.

This is my First 510DVR.. sadly I am not that impressed. I thought they had more features. And i thought i set it to record Family Guy - ALL and so far nothing, and there were 12 different episodes last night... so maybe i will have to read the manual.
