View Full Version : Mili - What is a 3D Secured Mastercard, because they don't know

Geeze, I've never had so much trouble trying to give my money away. I am trying to purchase 3 Atmegas now and I called Mastercard to see what the heck a 3D Secured Mastercard is and they have no clue. They only referenced Shop-Safe where I can get a temporary account number and have it setup for the exact amount of the on-line purchase. Is this what you mean? I will not use Western Union and I don't want to waste time going to the post office, getting a money order, mailing it to you and waiting. How about PayPal, or the ability to use any credit card? This is a real turn off; having such confined means of payment. Please let me know what you mean by the 3D secured Mastercard.

Thanks,
HAmmer

If you want to talk about a turn off, use paypal. Those guys can not be trusted to keep your information private. Mili, as well as all other businesses who sell the kinds of products mili sells, will not accept paypal because they have a history of keeping the money in accounts that have been deemed questionable.

You can get a rechargable Visa at Rite-Aid I know for sure. There are probably other businesses that sell them too. It's just a pre-paid credit card. A money order only adds 5-7 days to your receiving your order, and it is by far the safest way to go. I strongly recomend you go the money order route. No paper trail to lead back to you that way.

Anybody stupid enough to use payment methods that leave a paper or electronic trail when buying " questionable " merchandise deserves to get a love letter from Charlie and be out 5 grand or more .

3D Secure

3D Secure is a new technical standard developed by Visa and MasterCard to further secure CNP (Card not Present) transactions over the Internet.
MasterCard brand their system as 'MasterCard SecureCode' and Visa call theirs 'Verified by Visa'. Both are available through acquirers.
3D Secure creates what is called a 'trust chain' throughout the transaction, shifting the liability for fraud from the merchant to the issuer under a range of conditions.

Which is why I got that feature enabled. Charging back with these cards is near impossible, fraud can only occur if the card user fucks up and divulges his password to a third party as that password is only entered on the banks' websites.

I have Verified by Visa and when I tried to order from Mili it kept rejecting my order and then I had to pay the extra $20.00 to use Western Union. The next day I get an automated message from Visa asking if I tried to order, blah, blah, blah and then when I answer yes to all of the above, I get you can now try to order and it should be approved.....after the fact I already ordered thru Western Union. several days ago I tried to order again and the same crap and I'm not spending thru Western Union again...It's nice to have card protection but damn, let me order something. Quit rejecting it. I gave my user name and password. Do you want my DNA too.

Mili: I just came back from the post office. One Money Order on its way to you via priority mail with delivery confirmation. Ordered 3 Atmega's. Can you give me an approximate time you think I'll actually receive these? Just looped one of my 102s trying to recover from an unknown provider REV 000. Well, I still have the trusty Viewsats.

Thanks,
Hammer

3-5 days to get and process money order. Another 5-7 days to receive the order once shipped. Your looking at 8-12 days. (business days)

I really didn't want to send a money order and risk losing my cash, but it was the fatest way if you didn't already have one of the secured credit cards. I can vouch that Mili is an honest guy. Just follow the steps to the letter as how to send the money order and you'll be fine. Send it to him using Delivery Confirmation and you can track the delivery. He will tell you when he get's your money, he'll tell you when it's shipped. Once it enters the US (if that's where you live) it takes about 3-5 days to get to your door. No problems.

How does US customs handle the products coming in to the US. Has anybody had problems with their order being held up?

Mili do you maintain shipping orders or invoices?
Does the shipping box give detailed information of its contents or is it generic in nature?

Back during the Dave wars he used the shipping invoices as his "proof" and based his letters on this.

Without going into details no customs problems, no details and no descriptions.

I don't think you would be in business as long as you have if you weren’t a person of your word.
Thanks

Mili,

Remember you do have solid good reputation to your customer (and other site accepts the cash method as well),
it maybe good idea to accept cash method too.
This is my thought.

I have no problem with cash but if a mailman steals it don't blame it on me.

If it's Western Union, HELLL YES! Do a charge back. Those guys are crooks anyway. Get your money back and pay with a money order.
