If you have the reset mod on your emulator, there's a bug in the new ver that causes constant resets/error19... Just FYI so nobody pulls their hair out.
Could one of you guys that's already downloaded this please upload it to the files section here? Sure appreciate it. I'm not a rapidshare member and I use a common proxy, which means that I can never get a file from rapidshare due to other downloaders.

tried but seems i am not allowed to upload JT.
seems to be some issue with the dos version too.
works fine with windows auxshare can't get the dos version to work

I'll upload the file now. It's running great from a dos boot disk....at least the version I ended up with is. Some versions aren't compressed for use with a dos boot disk, but the version I got has .exe files for dos, linux and windoze.

the easiest way is unsold pin 1 from DB9. but if you have 510, you will get a reset every morning, why don't use cemu, it works great now.

Thats the first thing i tried. This is what happened, i plug in the receiver, the lights would light up and then turn off as it should but then would turn on. the 522/625 needs two resets and that causes it not to turn on. What i figured as a fix is that after it turns of the lights the first time, you have to hit reset on the keyboard and it works. Thats just my theory so sorry if i'm wrong.
So anyone getting constant resets, disconnect pin 1 from db9 and if you have 522/625 hit R on keyboard after lights go off

Been running about 5 hours here from a boot floppy with no issues here as well. Make sure you use the st19.exe specifically for the system your running. i.e.- use the dos version for a boot floppy, use the linux version for linux, and use the windows version for running in windows.

Downloaded new version from Rapidshare and useing Mili's 232/2313 on two 301.013 one dos bootcd and one useing windows getting reset/019 on both. Update them as I always do. Both setups work fine with 2.6.01 except PPV freezing. Now Im scratching my head reading everyones post.
Try the files that are in our files section. For a boot floppy you will also have to overwrite the cwsdpmi.exe file.

The flash revision shouldn't change anything unless they are activly verifying card info the receiver sees rather than the true image its using.
Usually the revision is determined by the COR file you are using, and not what your IRD is displaying for a card. Still running BEV REV 245 and Dish REV108 and no issues here... cor's of course are at 247 and 10C respectivly.

Even downloading the version here still getting the same
problem. all dos mode. windows version works without a hitch.
all three worked with 2.6.01 with only freezing on 106 channels.
301-010 flashed with the 10b flash Two ic interface.
constant reset with error 019.
7200 single chip 8515 flashed over a year ago no idea what flash is on it
works on all channels but ones using new 106 key. Those channels
get blank screen.
7100 two ic interface flashed with 10b flash.
works the same as 7200 mentioned above.
all three use seperate private bins. None of them use public
bins.
this may be some sort of bin issue. the only common factor is
all three were updated to 10c and 106 keys with scripts not
stream updated.
will be playing with them today. I'll let you know what i come up with.

Why would I need to overwrite cwsdpmi file. It's been the same ver., date etc. since the begining, I've never overwritten it with any update of stl19xl.
I'm running private and public numbers with the latest cemu and st19, and both are running fine here. (both versions running on off boot disk) Something is going on that we are missing. I have current firmware on all my boxes. Maybe that's it, even though I doubt it. I run only internal three chip max/mel boards. Running only 301 models here, but I doubt that's relevant either.

On the 7xxx receivers it turned out to be the cor files. After

on the 301 couldn't find the problem with the constant reset
so i switched it to a linux boot setup and it works like a

There's a 100% confirmed problem with the windows, and I think dos versions of 2.6.05; Reset mod causes st19 to constantly reset and display error19.
IRD's don't really need the mod, but the pvr's shutdown every night for maintenence and cause an error in the morning if you don't have the reset mod so you have to manually reset st19 daily.

Maybe try flashing with fbprg16 boot disk. That seems to be about the best I've found. Even more reliable than xpatmel. If there is something wrong with the code then explain why my boot disk version of 2.6.05 works perfectly? I've been watching it a lot today too. Hasn't frozen once. You have to remember that basically the only thing your going to read on a forum like this is stuff like "it's not working".

JT are you useing Mili's max/mel ? Or is anybody useing Mili's max/mel and it working in dos or windows with 2.6.05 ? I never had to change my setups just to update ST19 to a newer version.
Mili's max/mel is an external two chip board. I'm running internal three chip boards. The boards I'm using have the 232 switching chip so I can leave the max/mel installed and still use a rom or other device like Enigma in the same box without doing anything other than powering down the emu computer.
Hmmm, this is a stretch, but a thought.....current firmware for most receivers have anti-avr routines. I wonder if some of these devices aren't triggering that trap. I don't see how a card slot device like mili's board would do that, but it might. I know my boards won't because the ground and power source are not supplied by the card slot. They are coming off the receivers MB independently from the card slot in my case. .....damn man, that might be it. How many of you guys having problems are getting your voltage and ground off the card slot? (if you have mili's max/mel, you are getting the voltage and ground off of the card slot)

.
Well that could explain why yours is running perfect and mine is not. But also mine works with 2.6.01 just fine. The power for Mili's board comes from the card slot. Like I asked before if someone could please confirm Mili's max/mel is working with 2.6.05 update.
The more I think about this, the more I think I'm on to something here. Please guys, let us know what style of board your running and where your voltage and ground are coming from. If your using an AVR device or anything that is inserted into the card slot then you are getting your ground and your voltage from the card slot. There are some internal boards that can use the card slot for ground and voltage, but they are the exception to the rule as they are designed specifically to overcome the anti-avr tactics.

No pulling hair here! It's all been pulled.
Got my 522 going and yes it's the reset line. As soon as I cut pin 1 like mentioned earlier the new dos st code is working for me.
Before cutting reset. Only old ST code would work. New one wouldn't send cam Id to receiver. receiver would show only zeros.
Using P233 dos boot, with aux card for now.

Was getting hit and miss results using linux floppy/no aux before doing this. Will try this next.
Don't mind reseting if it gets everything back.

and most importantly the "max-mel" 's are home made & i've never gotten power from the card slot, always from a source in the power supplies of any irds. changed this years ago when the newer ird's started sensing the extra current..

from my experience, it is the true cardless ird's that are having issues along with single tuner 5xx ird's. All of these ird's require the max/mel to have to the reset circuit otherwise they will not come out of inactivity standby mode. And NO, you cannot dissable this feature on true cardless ird's like 322/522.
With all rom103 ird's, whether the max/mel is internal or external, 2.6.05 will NOT work with DOS or Linux bootdisks. However, when the reset mod is removed on the external max/mel, the DOS boot disk works great. This eliminates the cam slot power issue.
On all older style rom102 ird's like 301/4900 their are NO issues becasue these ird's DO NOT require a reset mod.
Tomorrow gonna test this out by the following:
using an external max/mel WITH RESET MOD on a 301 ird with DOS bootdisk and i almost guarantee it won't work.
Have read that reset mod on internal/external boards with cardless ird's works well in windows?? Going to test that as well.

Just want to throw in what i have tested so far.
On a 522 receiver with internal emu using 1489/2313 emu which has been working for me ever since i made it, using the new st ver 2.6.05, i had problems.
Here's my findings for anyone that is still having issues
1489/2313 with reset mod did not work in dos\windows for me (Constant resets)
1489/2313 with pin 1 disconnected still does not work in dos but works in windows perfectly (have to reboot every morning though which is normal since the reset mod is disconnect and receiver updates at 3am.
So the only sollution that is working for me is windows with no reset mod. All the combinations work on the older st 2.6.01 with reset mod dos/windows.
I have not tried linux version yet so i don't know about that.
I could never get the 522 to work with a max/mel type emu board so i can't test that. Could never sync communications properly from the receiver to the pc. But i know that a few other individuals have the same problem so they switched to 1489/2313 type.
Thats just my two cents, so there is definately a problem with the new st release causing constant resets, anyways i want to thank PGM for the release and all the previous release. THANK YOU!

easiest way to check for continuity is to use an ohm meter. Put one contact on pin1 of db9 and the other on pin7 of max. If you get some kind of resistance on the meter, then its connected.
To locate pin7 of max232:
on the top of the chip look for a small dot or circular indention in one of the corners. This would indicate pin 1 and the pin directly across the chip from this dot is pin16.

Jay,
what exactly was your boot up sequence? start emu, then plug in ird, ect...??? Do you have a dummy card in the slot? Do you have reset on cam slot jumped? What flash do you have on your atmel? Something is going on here and i'm bound to fig. it out. One ird will work fine, then a diff ird (same model) with same emu setup will NOT work, WTF???
Thanks

I still would like someone to confirm a 301.013 working or not with Mili's max/mel running 2.6.05. I also tryed a linux bootdisk with no luck.
Running on neighbors 301-013 no video mod no jtag port, popped card and used private info. went over to update st19xl and found their IRD was 020 "The card you have inserted is not valid for use in this receiver." replaced the folders both AUXSHARE and ST19 also new cor file. running fine on pos computer with microXP.
My 501 only lost the premium and PPV channels, running on laptop winXP no reset problems. but it looked like the 301 took a hit did not research it just replaced everything. useing both mili's and those cheep black cards form dooda's the ones that they say dont work on anti tamper IRD's, work fine on 301s and my 501s :D

I am running a 522 with Dos boot disk, ST ver 2.6.05, internal emu with reset mod, I am not having any problem with resets. I am taking 5V from location away from slot.
I don't think it is a problem with the 5v, because i also have a 522 running with internal 1489/2313 homemade, and am grabbing power from a 5v regulator on board and not from card slot. But since you are using same ird and same emu as you, would you mind sending me schematic for your emu board. I would greatly appreciate it maybe we could find out why this new version of st is causing problems for some.

Jayel, as I asked before...
You just might be the solution to this puzzel!!
Please post more specifics of your setup and even the schematic to your board!!

easiest way to check for continuity is to use an ohm meter.
Like so:
16 15 14 13 12 11 10 9
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
good luck
Ok I checked for continuity with a meter and found that pin1 of the db9 is connected to pin14 of max232 also pin2 of the db9 is connected to pin7 of max232

Sorry Guys, I just discovered that I wasn't running the new version of
ST after all. I meant to copy the new ver. to the floppy but somehow didn't get it. I just tried the new version and can't get it to work at all, keep gettin invalid card error. No wonder my PPV's were still freezing. Again, sorry for the mix up.

if pin1 of your db9 has solder, it means, your board has reset mode. but do not touch the board, you can use the reset mode soon when the new st fix this problem. If you want to dissable reset mode, just disconnect pin1 of the DB9 and you will be all set.
