I can't believe what I am saying myself. Fab5 pulled off the biggest surprise tonight. He is the first to have a fix for BEV and Dish PPV and Porn other than card sharing systems or real ROM102 cards. USB Atmega256 owners get your fix at

This is BIG! The man pulled off something that the multy million dollar FTA industry failed at. He also cuircumvented a multy BILLION dollar industry's most sophiticated ECM to date. It took him a whole 3 days. I have to salute him. Well done Fab5.
Get your USB Atmega256 cards HERE (http://www.dssftp.com/xcart/product.php?productid=120&cat=0&page=1). Lexass eat your heart out.

· Proof of concept that MAPROM timers can be accurately emulated.
· Fix for Dish only; Video is stable and watchable.
· Video may take up to 1 minute to appear; the card must “sync” the last MECM.
· Algorithm is incomplete; video will cut out a bit every once in a while
· Bug free version (including BEV update) will be released soon.

Tune to a regular channel like 202 and when you get picture tune to a PPV channel you want to watch. Wait one minute and you get PPV. Do not change channels too fast. THE FUCKING THING IS WORKING!!!!!

From what little I know about this coding routine I must say I did not believe this could be done at all, much less in such a short amount of time!

Sorry, I didn't know I was hijacking the thread. The subject of the thread is USB ATMEGA 256 cards are up. So how is asking Mili's opinion on the ATMEGA 128 is hijacking threads?

If the 128 comes back, it won't be at the hand of Fab5 since it's an entirely different testing platform. That would be up to Team Phoenix. My guess is eventually, yes.

If they can steal the code off a USB Atmega 256 then they maybe able to port it to FTA receivers. I think normal atmegas with 128 or 256 chips will not have the power to crunch these numbers in time. I also think fab5 protects his code good and so don't bet on a fast theft. I got 47 of these cards left in my store and no supplies are promised until the 15th so I am not saying buy one now but don't bitch if I hike the price up shortly.

I think they may steal charlies code before they get to Fab5's

I think they have to order one first :) to try to crack it.

I got 35 left. Raised the price to $99. When there are 15 left I will have to raise it to $109. I got no more coming for two weeks :-(

mili

jocko50
12-01-2007, 07:09 PM
And when you get the next batch will the price be similar To original cost?

mili
12-01-2007, 07:13 PM
It depends on how many I can get my hands on and if there will be any other fix out there which will dictate demand. Who knows. I don't. When they released the iPhone there were people lined up and bidding $800 for one wiht almost none to be had. Same shit in this case. If someone is willing to pay $150 for one I am sorry I won't sell it to you for $79.

peeps, don't go blowing the cash unless you have extra to spare. Just give it a few more days and fixes will start to appear. Same old song and dance as with any major ecm. First comes doomsday scenario, then comes 1 fix, then everone jumps to buy that hw.

If its possible on 1 testing platform, it will be possible on most. Bet my bottom dollar.

What’s the shipping cost on the usb 256 to the States?
I apologize if it’s mentioned somewhere and I missed it. Also did I understand Mili correctly, they won’t be available for another two weeks?

mili
12-01-2007, 08:48 PM
$25 for shipping and yes once I am out I am out for two weeks.

$25 for shipping? Damn...is that overnight? How much do those things weigh?

johnnyjam
12-01-2007, 10:06 PM
From the 'syncing' time I would almost think that this is the same type of hack that was used with the old vcii. The software would just keep trying different values to sync decryption, and when it got a good response, it would lock onto that value. However its being done, bravo!

Shipping is higher because of the special handling required to get the stuff to you. He uses a gauntlet of clandestine operatives who use a series of underground railroads and tunnels and secret handshakes and passwords. ;)

No, it's not overnight.

Plus it is another way he can upgrade his bottom line! This way he becomes richer than most of the Saudi Princes and almost as rich as Al Gore. He also hires only illegal aliens in the interests of helping our economy.

Guys I don't see what all the excitement is about. DVB/PCI is also fixed. It works on both BEV/DISH. The channels change normally, and all channels are up running.

Congrats to the Coders over at DVBN, I believe they spent all night getting the fix out.

A nut when you have it plugged into a 42 LCD? With full PVR functions?

Just making a point that their are other fixes out their like the Dreambox, and DVB/PCI.

Very likely. DVB (EmuNation 3.0.0.0) is already out and confirmed working :-)

Not only that both providers at the same time and HD to boot. Best 60 bucks ever spent. If I was Mili I wuld be selling dvb/pci stuff more fun and more flexability. Think about it, are the sat gods ever going to come out with a ird/cam combo that will out size or out speed the modern day pc. Especially one that is running linux.

If you think you are getting the USB Atmega256 for $39, then you need to look again. The USB Atmega does not use a programmer.

My god the lack of clue from some people is staggering. Go and play with your $39 legacy Atmega256 see if you can use Fab5's software with it.

The atmega's you purchased ARE NOT up and running right now. You purchased Lexus' legacy atmega256. That is a very different card than what is working now. What is working now is the USB programable atmega256, and it is supported by fab5. You really should have made sure you knew what you were buying before you got so excited.

I also just have to say this is some pretty major league developments if this latest software is truly emulating a real rom to get the timing right. If the timing is right because it is hard programmed into the software, then we will be seeing a lot of software updates in the future; one for every time the timing changes up. Either way, this is some pretty impressive and good news for all of us that would like to continue to play in this game.

All this adds up to a card swap. N2 is completely fucked and reamed. Wonder when the announcement will come.
