Not to infulence your decision one way or the other, but, DVB PCI are now up and working on emulation 3.00 , i hear it's working flawlessly as well. Rumor has it that most of the FTA units will be out with a fix for the current ECM no later then Monday night with most of the major players coming out tomorrow or late tonight,,,,,,,,,Sorry Charlie.........
Charles might be wise to hire some of the people who are breaking his codes ,to secure them....
J.M.H.O. but this may be the last straw for Charles before he realizes the only way to stop this community is by making the investment in a card swap.
After all this was suppose to be a MAJOR hit for his guys and according to some the beginning of the end for FTAm again, Milli :-) ....To have it resolved within 48 hours must be killing these guys who are coming out with these attacks. one thing one knows after years of paying and monkeying around with everything and anything to watch all this free tv, there sure are alot of peeps who complain about a few bucks. My attitude or response to people who DON'T sell something but instead must be the buyers, you SHOULD look elsewhere and get the other one IF it is cheaper than now. That's what I'd do, I'd show this person he does not deserve your hard-earned money and he should wait and hope that he sells any at all. Yeah, like that's gonna happen, wanna bet the man would love to have 1000 right now and you are privileged to buy the last one for $300. If I were you though, I'd Show Him, I'd go and sub on Monday and really sick it to him. Yeah.
If you were my neighbour with that attitude and you asked to borrow a cuppa sugar, I'd give you my dog's daily dump and you would be privileged to have that too. Good deal, good shit too, I could sell that on eBay for $80 (plus shipping & handling) and people lke you would buy if my shit was 5 cents cheaper than the othr guy's.

Also with regards to the chip(s) it always is a supply & demand scenario and if running the board in small numbers........then the price also goes up.
It's not Mili but his Supplier and don't take this as a Greed thing.......as the old andecdote says 'cheaper by the dozen' and that's really the bottomline.
I know, since I'm involved with silicon and pcb production.
PS and if it goes down forever and Mili has 1K worth of them are you gonna' send him $50 to offset his LOSS?

Then you think, NO. My customers are loyal marauders and I won’t gouge them like that. I’ll just raise the price a little to maybe $9.90 a bottle, and see how it goes. Maybe if the demand is really strong, you might raise it to $11.00 or so…

Still, $99 is too much. It is still an atmega. $59 was a great price. And like I said before, if I knew they were at that price I would've gotten one. I'm pretty sure its more probable for 3 to get sold at $59 than 2 at $99. Smart business in my opinion. And there are other sites selling them for less as well. Just browse and you'll find them. But not at $59!!!
I think to celebrate the new released fix they should be lowered to $59 again for 1 day only!!!!!!

What's significant about the USB256 working isn't so much that other platforms will sooner or later be up....not even so much that the USB fix was first...it's the fact that it WAS fixed and that a testing device once ridiculed on other sites as an undersupported, cheap marketing trick actually delivered as promised and proves that this is a for real, big-boy piece.
None of us have a right to tell Mili what to charge for his merchandise in the first place. Too high for you? Vote with your feet, as in walk away and buy from someone else. Simple, eh?

paid 45-55 dollars for my atmegas that we listed as doa many times and the bugger have come back more times they they should have,, money well spent,
got burned on magic cards but did get a few months out of them so not burned too much.
have plastic too and got some serious time out of them,
who knows maybe I will try some thing else or maybe not.,, bottom line is IMHO Milli has always been straight up or at least appeared that way, hell he has already eaten way too much crow, and been stuck with many ice scrapers ( pre paid Icescrapers )
Everytime he has to risk his own money and see if it will pan out or not,
too much then don't buy, go watch the Nasa channel

Not that it's a big deal, but the NFusion FTA was up via IKS, an internet key-sharing deal that could easily get the key source and all sharing it a trip to the Crossbar Hotel. So, as a standalone unit, it wasn't.
Hell, does it matter? Not really. As for prices, 20 bucks extra for a 256 is no big deal in light of what OPEC's been doing to the rest of the world for years. If you don't like it, ride a bike. :) If you can't or won't pony up 100 for the 256, subscribe.

I made a comment in regards to the price increase in which I may have mentioned "kicking us when we are down" and I got banned (under another user name and ip address).
