question about private cam id and ird

i was wondering if i could jtag a subscribed reciever and clone it to mine then take the cam id info off the card and ird number and impliment it into my bin file instead of using a public file. is this possible or do i have to read a sub card to get all the info i need this is a rom 102 card by the way

yes you can. It is the called using private numbers or "cloning a sub"

as long as your rom 102 is writeable...meaning it is unlocked

You can pull info from IRD jtag read it in gendt08

read the sub ird....becareful.
save the bin.
thats all you need to do with it, unhook the jtag and put that ird up.
with that saved tsop you can use jkeys and take a screenshot of the ird and boxkeys.
and you can do like bud says and use gendt08 to read the info and make a tsop for your non-sub ird (testing ird).
Some of these guys may help you with the particulars or you can spend quite a bit of time (bout 2 hours) and read some older post that people have already helped

This thread raises a very interesting question for me:

I have a 6000 IRD which I test, but I also pay a min sub to B*V. The subbed CAM is a ROM S01 and the one I use for testing is a ROM 102. I use public information for testing with the 102. My problem is that, everytime the 102 is down and I need to revert to my sub, I must reflash the two TSOPs in my 6000 - a time consuming operation.

Question: Would it be possible to use the private information of the subbed IRD on the 102 so that I would only have to swap the CAMs to switch between testind and the paid sub? If yes, what should I do? (I only need basic giudance, I will do the rest of reading.)

I have 4 receivers and their all cloned private sub. I can pull the card from one and put it in any of the others. Keeps everything simple.

But this is not what I would like to be able to do. My 6000 testing IRD is also subbed and I would like to be able to only swap the Rom 102 testing CAM with the Rom S01 subbed CAM without the need to re-write the TSOPs every time. Would this be possible? If yes, how?
