Hi,
Can someone please identify the FTA receiver that is best in performance and is among the first ones to get the latest bin file.

VIEWSAT is pretty much 1st 95% of the time and the ultra is the way to go if you want PVR then the pro is good unless you can afford 800 bucks for the HD and the other module you need

Sonicview was the first after nfusion for the first time. support is pretty quick most of the time. Might have to do with being owned by Viewsat. BTW love my sv-8000 get all hd with the add-on 8psk board. Have had little down time with this fta and it has a great picture. Still there are bugs that need to be worked out on this fta. I still would buy another sv-8000 if I needed another stb.

I am running a Ipro 2000 and a neusat 6000 prem. Not overly happy with the neusat, but I Love the Ipro. Good bins and support. Also PVR. Just my 2 cents

The Viewsat has been the 1st, but the fix before the last one it was way down the list for some reason. I think total sales of any brand plays a part in getting a fix out. And Viewsat has been the top seller for several months.

You can't go wrong with either Viewsat or SonicView. I would advise get STB with higher processor that can withstand new MECMs.

Conaxsat (Cnx) and captive works rank up there as well for getting new bins out.

I would stay away from Coolsat. They tend to put out a few new receivers every year and then drop support for receivers that are only a few years old.

Nfusion Nova didn't go down last time...with the IKS running.

Nfusion is a risky business. It is not far away before DN start nailing them and let me tell you, it will be very easy for DN to shut them down and not to forget, you will be easily traced down via IP.

true that...but it was not down, and if you think DN will not go after end users then grab a nfusion..

Guess the NORW team heard some flak from the audience...new BINs came out for the 4K/5K/6K on Fri (12/7).... the BEV side didn't last long, but I think that you won't see any steady fixes come out for Bev anymore.
