I am curious why - if you can glitch a card, jtag a receiver, why you can not create a legitimate married sub clone ? Am I missing something (besides PPV ?)

A clone is just that, a duplicate of an something existing. So you must have a legitimate sub in order to make a clone of it.

Question then - is can you re-create the clone and make any recvr into that clone ? and of no - why not ?

if you have a 102 image and you can jtag your ird, you can make them match, which if card is exsub and more than likely it is, you can make yourself a married exsub

Cool... so why would this not be working today and up and running ? maybe no PPV and Porn, but whatever the original sub had working at least ? I am confused why more people are not up on this scheme ?

I guess my point was... all this free TV stuff seems way over complicated for the simplicity of creating a clone from some premium sub ? no ?

Well, first off, a clone of a sub will only get what the sub does. No PPV. No porn.
I recently got seriously flamed here in this forum for simply saying that my atmega
was up, when it was getting everything everything BUT PPV and porn.

As for as "simplicity" goes, it would be much easier and quicker for me to use the freeware
files out there and program a fully open system, than it would be to clone a sub.

a fully open system seems to have issues with "looping" ? not quite sure whats all involved with that... but wouldn't a true clone avoid that issue completely...

also - it seems with all the EMU down these days and only cards up - but everyone worried about the card being looped... why not make the card a copy of a sub, lock it again and avoid it being looped ? How come cards get looped anyways... because they are open ? is that because an open card can not be closed again ?

Does this mean that one can not simply re-lock the cards the way they were locked before the glitching ? if not - then I am starting to understand why... but if not... then lock the damn card and simply re-glitch it... when ? never ?

Another important thing is the fact that current revs can't be unlocked or read or programmed, so it's kind of a moot point anyhow. Because of this you couldn't make a true clone anyway. The closest thing would be to run blockerless, then it would never be looped, but once it updated to the current rev, you would be (maybe permanently) locked out.

so if you are content on creating a clone and leaving yourself vunerable to being locked out, then you are OK... why would you need to get back into the thing anyway ? supposing that the original married card / stb was never deactiviated anyways... seems like not a bad option for ensuring some level of free tv ?

if your going to pay for service.then just pay the extra 5.00 bucks to have a second rec.no need for clone. sounds like thats all you want.two or three rec for price of one.
why your add it pay the 100+ for mlb and 59.99 for the ufc fights or main event fights.

Im tallking about making a married sub image from a high premimum sub... and then placing it in a files section... only makes sense that level of tv would be attractive to many...

The idea is sound but the idea of giving it to everyone by posting it to
the files section would just get all clones made from the sub turned
off. Including the sub.

On a small scale (5 to 10 close friends) it can work. But you will need
to meet a few basic conditions first.

A current sub receiver in service for at least 1 to 2 years with a rom 102 cam.
One that was opened and all necessary information to clone aquired
before the cam was locked with rev 10c. It should be one that
was opened at rev 109 or less. For best results it should be cam and
receiver info that was opened and read at rev 105.

Every cam to be cloned would have to be a rev 103 with line 3050
unmarked.

Then buy the biggest sub package you can get and split the cost
bewteen all the clones however many you manage to make.

It would be a good idea to disable all the phone connections on all
cloned receivers. Just as a safety measure. Only the master should
be hooked to the phone line.

All the receivers should be the same type. By that I mean use the
same keyset all DT08 or all SK. The choice is really made for you they
will have to be the same type as the sub being cloned.

Really they should all be the same model as well. While it's not
a issue currently it could be a problem later having different
models.

So it can be done but it won't be easy.
