Can someone tell me where I can get the 5 volts from on the 301-10 for homemade internal emu in order to run st19xl ? Two chip 2313 and 1489 also
what is the D1 coming off of pin 20 on the atmel ? Is it a diode if so what diode should I use ? Thankyou for your help !!

Use your multi meter to find 5v fairly close to the card slot, then test to make sure there isn't continuity with pin 1 on the card slot. Also, depending on which max/mel board you have, you may be able to pull 5v right off of pin 1 of the card slot. Your max/mel must be one of the newer versions that won't trip the anti-avr routines to use the card slot as a power source.
