What's the problem Joe?

I like to solve these in the forums in case someone else is having
a similar problem.

Anyone having a problem with no aux card detected likely needs to
add a command in the autoexec.bat file when running dos mode.

eg

ST19XL.exe /a /m /s /t /w st19.cor

The /a is to use aux card

Off the top of my head that is likely going to be the biggest problem
going from auxless to aux.

Thanks for the reply. I am good with cemu. I am also good with ST19 with simulated ports. I am trying now to graduate to ST19 with real card. I am unsure where to begin. I can change bat files around with the proper guidance. I have an auxed 102 card. I have noticed in the past with the self extracting floppies it said to hook up max mel to port 1 and iso reader to port 2. Can those settings be changed easily? I guess I just need to know how to get started today not 3 months ago. Any help would be appreciated.

I was kinda wanting to know what you are running a general set-up if you will so I can duplicate it to learn. If I change the autexe bat file to read what you said is their anyway to have it choose port4 to read the card?

Changed the st19 autoexe bat to this ST19XL.EXE -a -m -s -pe1 -pa4 where the one is port 1 to maxmel card and the 4 is port 4 where the iso is with the auxed card. Still can't get ppvs running st19xl2.6.08 but not sure what aux or flash to run it may be my cor file also. I am getting channels 166 etc not 300s or ppvs.

Yes you can set it up to run the aux on com1 (port1) and max mel on com2.
It's not hard to change the setup in the startup file but is confusing. I would
stick with the basic setup unless you have non standard com ports. That can
be overcome in the autoexec if you run into that problem

But you can't run on simulated ports. You need two physical com ports
on your emu computer. Most of the machines with physical com ports
are set up in standard configuration that is the setup in most self extracting
floppies.

I only have one that would be considered a general setup.
comp P1 at 133
iso reader and aux cam on com 2
max mel on com 1
both com ports are standard configuration
com 1 03F8 interrupt 04
com 2 02F8 interrupt 03
Dos boot disk with more or less the same setup as
most of the self extracting floppies out there
Only difference is a st19.cor file with private info.
Aux code on cam is Perky's aux 1.23
Current st19xl.exe dos ver 2.6.08

Thanks,
I don't have standard ports I have a labtop with port 1 built in and I have a usb port that makes a db9 made by belkin. I currently have it working without ppvs and hbo. I am running perkys aux 1.23 I tried to start st19exe without the aux card in and it wouldn't start thats a good sign I hope with it in it starts up and I get an atr. I put it on 505 channel and I get the 005 message but it never rolls the keys or get pic. Also I forgot to mention I am not running a start up disc I Am also running private ino. Any ideas.
Thanks,
Joe

Sounds like you are almost there joe.

Open up your cor file in your favorite editing software. Nagraedit 5.2 or
n2edit or the one you use.

Clean the image to rev 103 then apply the patch in the post
by bud02 in this thread

http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74481

Save it as st19.cor

That should get you up and running.

Maybe someone can help

I had 2 ird's running on different providers off the same PC with AUXSHARE...it was running perfect for the last few months until yesterday where the latest version of stl19xl needs a phisical card...now my question is this...I have 4 com connection on my PC (actual connections not vertual)

now here is the big question....I still want to run both providers off of my one pc...but I only want to use one AUX'd card. can I share that aux'd card between the both providers..I know they both use the same bin on the rom102...I also see in the latest version of auxshare 0.1.4?? I think you have the option in the text file to enable a real card...does thei need any special setup...is this even posssible...or do I absolutely need to 2 rom102 card to run this?

any info would be greatly appreciated.

File posted in milis section

(CHANGE: noticed that it works better when ntdvm.exe is set to below normal)

I was using the virtual package and changed to an actual auxed card and this is how I did itusing the virtual set-up and changing it to the
actual auxed card so that it would work.

* Turn off all virtual ports you put on to run the virtual style st19. I am putting the
flash I used on the bottom I know it works.
*Flash chip with max mel flash its a 10b flash you can use the 10C flash this was my choice
*Edit ST Batch file to look like this ST19XL.EXE -a -m -s -pe1 -pa4 where 1 is the port
for the maxmel card and port 4 is the port for the iso reader with actual auxed card. I choose 4 because I had a port 1 and 4.
*Edit AuxShare bat file to AUXSHARE /E4 /D /M25 where 4 is the port for actual auxed card.
*Flash your card with Perkys 1.23 aux which is perkysaux.bn102
*hook iso to port 4 or whatever port your using I used port 4
*hook max mel device to port 1 or whichever you choose
*replace the .cor file with a current 10C (file NOT TO THE AUX CARD)
*Replace the old st19xl.exe(dos one) with the current st19xl.exe file into the
*Hook everything up if your me that would be max mel to port 1 then iso with aux card to port 4 . Then double click on Auxbat file then double click on ST19 Bat file then plug up receiver and wait like 20 mins to get actual video. Don't change the ntve to real time leave it at normal time. (UPDATE it actually works better when below normal is selected for ntvdm.exe in task manager on computer.
If the mods allow I will pm this zipped to them with all needed files I used.

Here's how I got it to work including the PPV's and others that weren't working before:

My setup is where the aux card/ISO is on port 2 and the IRD (client) is on port 1.

I totally did away with the auxshare.bat file and only use the ST.BAT because I either kept getting conflicts or it would turn out it wasnt even trying to use the card. The command in my ST.BAT is:

ST19XL.exe -a -m -s -pa2

The pa2 parameter tells it that my auxed card is on port2. I made no reference to what port the client was on. Tuned to ch. 300, Got the 005 nag for about 2-3 minutes, then video.

Turns out it only accesses the aux card when you first tune to a previously black channel (HBO, p0rn etc.). The other channels so far apparently don't need the aux operations of the card.

Spent a whole day on this. the thrill of victory.
