Hi, now that I require an AUX card and the only one I have got fried last year in December, what would be a good option? Going with ATMEGA?
Also, I don't really wanna mod receiver...Your opinion is appreciated!
Thx

nothing will beat EMU. Nothing. I suggest shelling out the cash and getting an open ROM102 rather than any type of emu card.

only thing absolutely guarenteed to not go down is a sub.

subs are guaranteed to go down when you miss a monthly payment to charlie.
USB atmega256 is way ahead of the game right now. Other than a genuine rom, that's all that's running right now. All I can tell you is that's how it is right now. I for sure wouldn't be putting a rom in the stream at this point. That leaves emu and USB atmega256.
If one Auxes a rom would this be considered safe for the rom? or should we pull em completely?

An AUX'd card running in ST19XL is 100% safe!
PGM's emu runs better than anything out there.
You also have the most knowledgeable emu tester in the world looking after it.
PGM invented SLE44 and is "The Father of Emulation".

Always love seeing you drop in cancom. :)
After reading my post I think I should clarify a bit. You can still get non premium channels with aux'less emulation right now. If you want premium channels, you have to go with ST19xl and an aux'd rom. That's what I meant by you must have a rom card or USB atmega256 to be viewing all channels with all PID's. ...and I think even as I type this Bell has some more interesting stuff going on, so everything might be down on Bell right now. Not sure. Not running Bell right now.

Hey JT
Great to hear from you too!
I don't play with B3V either but buds tell me something is afoot.
Yes, ST19XL camless is 50/50 for channels....none that my wife wants....lol.
As usual ST19XL with AUX is 100%....PGM is da man!
No need to clarify....I knew what you referred to. Yes, ATmega has seen a big revival. Seems many diehard Cemu folks are now changing over to ST19 and especially to AUX. I see it by the volume of ST19XL internal ISO requests and I guess you can readily see it by the increased ST19 posts.
Keep well and if I don't hear from you, have a great Xmas

I agree but AUX doesn't put the CAM in the stream. As for the others.....generally an up and down scenario and even with ST......that's why it's called 'testing' not Watching.
I was a tournament fisherman.....so borrowed on that for the above. ;-)

AUX is what happens to your ROM card....it gets AUXillaried [can't be written to] then placed in an ISO to communicate with the emu computer and receiver.
ST19XL is the program developed by PGM which emulates Nagra's ST19XL processor.....same as he did for us with DTV's SLE44.
Thanks it's been a while. To keep up on everything .
