anyone have an aux card working with single chip emu? my chip scrambles every time i try....... if you have it working are you doing it in wondows dos or .........


and what r you using for your command line to start it........

DOS requires less resources and has always been my fav.
Not all emus are created equal.
There is a danger to attempting a one chip as the Atmel was never designed to do RS232.
You may have fried the Atmel...hopefully not your receiver too.

no works still just reflashed it.........

i ordered some 233 chips so hope i can get it going.......

why not spend a few $$ and do it right witha 2 chip board ?

Dump that single chip emu and get a real set up going. You'll be glad you did.

been running a 1 chip for a long time and never had any issues or fried IRDs.

same here got 10 of them and never fried a chip or ird.......

just hot glue was my friend when installing and id like not to hallf to pull it all out to put a 233 on the board lol

it just makes good engineering sense to include a max232 type chip to interface a non-rs232 device (atmel chip) to an rs232 computer port.

your computer port and your atmel will be happier seeing industry standard voltage levels from the max232.

ok so know when i receve my 233 chips i just put them in with the 232 diagram and dont add any resistors inbetween??????????

yup.

the nice thing about the max233 is that is doesn't need any external capacitors.
