can anyone help i've been asking this same question for what feels like forever now i didn;t care so much but now my 4000 is the only one thats working for me for what ever reason i can't get it to work properly it will only except one sat no matter what the settings are and second even if i only hook up one lnb when i scan it blind or auto or manual it doesn't pick up al the channels with the 301 all is good i've tried it at different houses even with the same channels scanned i don't get it all the foe example all the ppv on charlie come in 500 and up but no adult i pick up 485 and that aux sport channel 462?? i think but no 300's few 100's i tried with a channel list and the channels aren't pick up does anyone have a clue is there something with the firmware do i need to jtag i can't figure this out help
boot version shows me 1.20 any help would be great

if you have vesion 120 you need the new bin 156 to see ppv, porn and premium channels

it isn't a matter of veiwing the channels the thing won't even scan them in when i do a scan

Check the switch settings. The 4000 is a little funny with the type of lnb or dish it's connected to. Things are much better now with the new firmware apposed to a year or so ago.

Verify what type of lnb you have, go to "Dish Setting" on the 4k. Chose the bird you want and change the LNB power to on, most important is the LNB type. The type depends on which lnb you have? so I cannot give instructions. You have many choices, the correct one should solve the problem.

Also if you use a diseqc switch make sure the settings are correct for the type of lnb you have. I had the most trouble with the switch, and finally CS came out with a bin that would recognize a legacy twin lnb.

I have the same problem before then I did a factory reset then it started working with all PPV and porn.

find out the transponder frequencies that the channels you are missing are on.....lyngsat i believe will get you those.....enter those frequencies and scan them......that should do it

I've loaded the 156 bin and still get no PPV or porn? Any ideas what I need to change? After loading and deleting the channels I do the autoscan and the channels are in the guide, but when I go to them they get a scrambled channel message. ~105-280 work fine.
