Works great for Dish only, it takes a little while to roll the keys but does work. It seems to be missing a few of the porn channels on my setup which is 510, private info

hrm, wonder what i am doing wrong. Acts the same as st19xl, no video on ppv and sound on some.
I did notice it doesnt seem to want to roll 96_0106 for me....the rest roll fairly quickly, so I put in the 96_0106 key posted in the keys section and still no go.
compiled my own, and tried the cemu.exe out of the boot cd from thefileshop and still no luck

Same problem here. I think it may have something to do with the Atmel flash. I may still be using 10B flash

Mine seem's to work know but the floppy is comming on and off alot any way in fixing this? or is this normal? seems it would wear out the drive or disk?
Once the memory is loaded during boot up the floppy doesn't do much unless the power goes out or something like that. Pull your floppy and see how long Cemu continues to run. If your floppy is spinning all the time something might be wrong with your drive.

My disk only load the program, never more.
It keep running after I take the floppy out.
I'll agree with JT, If your floppy is spinning all the time something might be wrong with your drive. Or you program, keep trying the program I let NOW in the # 1, it is a program which creates a floppy, ready to go

Change autoexec.bat to this:
@echo off
XMSDSK [1000] X: /y
COPY A:\COMMAND.COM X:\
SET COMPSPEC = X:\COMMAND.COM
COPY A:\CEMU.* X:\
COPY A:\CWSDPMI.* X:\
COPY A:\*.BIN X:\*.BIN
COPY A:\*.txt X:\*.BIN
COPY A:\*.key X:\*.BIN
COPY A:\BLACKOUT.CNF X:\
CLS
CALL TUNE
X:
CEMU.exe
So cemu runs off of ramdrive , not floppy. Also in cemu.cnf file :
bootdisk 0
nosave 1

I'll give it a shot. i just notice on my floppy there is a file called UPDATES.TXT and it has a bunch of stuff in it. I don't want to put the info here incase it's something that shouldn't be posted.

I'm having a hell of a time getting this to work. I've tried several different setups and all but this one: CEMU10C 2.05AR CLASSIC FLOPPY! **Fixes Green Channels!!!**
Give me green guide. The one I linked above will work out of the box. And even worked after I put my own tiers on it. But I fired it up and realized that I forgot to change the timezone and ZIP because the time was wrong ont he guide and my locals were not showing up as being mapped. So I shut it down, and changed the TZ and ZIP in the CNF file and started it up again. And then I get green guide. WTF is my problem here? I'm just trying to get this working with Chicago locals and having NO luck.

you s/b able to run it right off desktop, no floppy. I am using the 2.05 posted by fathi at fileshop, with my own bin, works fine since he posted 2 days ago. Using 2 chip 10B. AR hex, which also works fine with ST, no need to reflash .
If green guide, those tiers aren't in your bin. Try remaking your tiers with MR tiers.
Hope that helps.

I, and at least 3 others, cannot get this one to work, but fathis version still works fine, except premies. We either get green channels, or black screen on all channels.
Not complaining, just giving input.

My d*sh was working too with fathi's cemu version with 61.5 internatiional but after 2 days went down. Tried to reflash tsop (public norsa 2800 csca 854) & max/mel (10bar.hex). No luck, all I get is green channels, only sound on eurns chan 900 & some video on 3abn. Tried "green channels fix" floppy too, no go. Also tried to make my own minimum tiers with mr tiers 3.0, but doesn't work either
Do I have to flash max/mel with 10c.hex as cancom pointed out? I thought 10bar.hex should be ok.
Any suggestions/ideas?

10bar.hex is fine for both cemu and ST19, but current firmware for that ird is P862...you are wayyyy out of date. Do a sector erase and let it restream to current, then try. Dont forget to set your menu for upgrades to "without my permission", then let it do its thing...when LED goes out, its ready.
allee
12-21-2007, 05:41 PM
Then you mean I have to find a public norsa 2800 csca tsop with P862? The latest I found on FS is p854. Are they available anywhere else?
Thanks for taking out time for this.

12-21-2007, 05:57 PM
No, I meant that 1. you should always keep a backup of your tsop and
2. Do a sector erase of your tsop... erase sector SA5, then set your menu for UPGRADES to "without my permission" (should be this way all the time anyway), plug in the ird...the green LED will blink a few times, then stay lit. When it goes out, the tsop will have the newest flash on it. Since it is a no rsa mod , meaning only the box keys and ird # are changed, you should not need to do anything more to it. Then hook up your jtag again, and do a READ of it, and save it as your newest backup. If by some remote chance you do not have a jtag, Mili will be more than happy to sell you one, as you should not be testing without one.

I have the original backup of tsop & boxkeys and I have jtag setup. When you say that box keys and ird# are changed, do I have to edit the newest flash with same ird# and box keys which are found in the public flash?

Hi Allee:
no, if you follow the steps above, it should retain the numbers you are already using, and it will simply update to the correct Firmware...and if you are using public #s, since it is a no rsa mod, those numbers s/b :Public BK 8C A6 A8 8C FD E2 E2 63 IRD # 01 1C 74 6C
CAM ID 03 9A 31 74
hit the button on your remote for sysinfo and see if the ird and cam are:
R18642028 and S60436852, with some 00's in front of them

OK I got new flash of P862 and I see those numbers when I press sysinfo on remote. But when I did SA5 sect erase, it didn't get any update. It worked and got update when I did Full erase.
Strange thing is I got only channels 5728, 5729, 5730, 5739, 9402, 9405, 9406, 9408, 9413, 9416, 9417 and 9418. Then I tried with another laptop using xp and cemu as service. I got similar results. And after couple of hours I lost all of them except 3ABN. I am sure if I restart cemu I'll get these back for sometime again. I'm not getting timer resets now. I get EEPROM updates.
So what could be wrong? I checked serial cable connectors for loose connections but found none. Could my max/mel be bad? Its really baffling.
Thanks for the support.
