3100-010 clone to FTA

I was just reading about cloning DN 3100 receivers to a Pansat 2700 FTA, does anyone know anything about it?:confused:

I thought it had to be a 301.13. Never done it myself, so don't take my word for it.

fta's especially old setup like this one are all but done.

and the 301.010 is by far the easiest to maintain.btw
and your going to ruin it by turning it into a ftv-er.

Thanks for the comments, there all good. I was just thinking of making use of the 3100 that I have sitting in storage. I got tired of changing TSOPs and files every second day with the atmegas and took the lazy way out and FTA I have a SV 8000 HD and 2 ultras and it is sooo nice having them pick up what ever they are pointed at. BEV and DN on one reciever can't be beat not to mention programming in 5 minutes with a memory stick. I'm not testing anymore,,,I'm watching TV.

It seems the best way is too use a rom102 as a back up. the problem is that you have to take the switch of the fta everytime. vs are up on bell anyway new fix today

FTA conversions do suck, they are not worth the trouble, they are a fun project to do but are not fun to do if you want to watch tv.

Well my usbatmega hasn't been working on bev for a while thank go i got my viewsat. Fta have been a god sent for folks just wanted to watch tv. I have had mine over two years and really got my money's worth. With Fab5 working on the fixes looks like i will be watching tv most of the time now. Go Fab5 go.

I've got a 301-13 to pansat going but only get the basic channels. I get a couple of ppv here and there. I havent messed with it in awhile and wondered if anyone here knows why I can't gey my movies channels anymore. The keys auto rolls fine , but no movie channels.

301.13 are a pain to jtag, I was never successful at that particular model.

the 301.10 take a while but are doable. IMHO 301.10 are one of the ideal models to test with. From what I have tested the most easiest is the 6000 HiDef.
