I am posting in newbie forum because there is so much info and I dont know where to start.
I currently have a paid subscription to DN. I also have 2 extra boxes a DP811 and a DP311 I no longer use. I would like to try to start testing without interupting my current service.

Can I use these boxes for anything and if so what do I need to buy?

If I cant use these boxes what do I need to buy?

i am a newby myself but from what i've read u need to first plug your 811 and 311 into electricity only first do not hook your dish cable into it as it may update it to see what Rev you are at as whoever helps u will have to know that first.

I'm all for reading if things are put together in a way that a person can read it and know what to do and what not to do. I did find that link but the pictures are not working for me. Also not a lot of instructions there. The instructions seem to be spread among mutiple users unless I am missing something. Even then I can't tell who does and does not know what they are talking about except the original poster.
