Try the fix instead of asking if it works or not.

Guys -
It says when you download it and open Jeepers:
Tierset = ExpressVu (82/91)
KeySet = No RSA ExpressVU
Obviously its NOT Dish.
I did not test it as I can't test ExpressVu.

first off if you load the jfg, the current Bell keys come up NOT DISH so that part of the fix is correct.
aside from that I loaded it on to my atmega 128 (its been on 30 min) and all you get is a black screen and a guide with a lot of red channels.
This fix doesnt work (at least not now). so much ado about nothing...again!!

Billard500, you are an optimistic rascal, I'll give you that. Maybe one day you'll find your holy 128 grail.
The File Shop, ground zero for any and all 128/256 fixes, is showing nothing new. The one in the file section is phony. Hint: if you're in doubt, throw it on your card and see for yourself. If you screw up your card somehow, they're 20 bucks. Simple, no?:)

(quote from reliable source) ...... If you check the time line a file was released but went down rather quickly...I speak daily with the guys who code these Loaders and Pfgs. There will be a fix.Unlike the FTA guys who sell you something promising support and throw flimsy patches at the problem to keep peeps off their back, these coders dont get paid for what they do.They do it because the love it and they don't have deadlines and assholes bashing them for a quick fix. I don't see any desperate peeps in this thread..I see peeps looking for news. Nothing wrong with hoping for good news .
The day of a Atmega 128 seems to be at the eand of it's life channel droping off fast now and still not fix! Time to move on with another way!
I hate to see the enad of the Atmega 128 but we all had good use out of it brought us many years of service. Well then we can not never rule it all out like before it came back to life without knowing this card would......

loc... try pushing the pins on the atmega card closer together, sometimes they don't make contact with the programmer.
bro trust me i have tried everthing even using a diffrent atmega program a old one it want even let me erase it
loc...take a soft eraser and rub it across the chip.It cleans the dirt and oil off.My cards have done this before and it work perfect. good luck

10-pin header or slot?
Also, did you check your fuses? that can cause program failure too...
slots have known issues with dirty contacts and dirty pads. its nearly impossible to clean the contacts.. clean the pads off with an eraser (harder is actually better, those old red ones... circular motion lightly) or rubbing alcohol. insert and remove from programmer. shouldn't leave much of a mark unless contacts are dirty too. clean pads and do it again to try to clean the contacts.. If that don't work.. Are you using a loader or jeepers?
Use Jeepers
do erase 5x
do alt erase 3x
write junior romba fix with jeepers to the atmega. This restores the whole flash and eep to blank, and resets the write fuses.
Its damn near impossible to kill the damn things unless you caused electrical short or the chip itself died.. its either a physical connect problem or a driver/software problem.
is everyone down to a select few channels or is there something that will atleast restore local channels on the atmega128?
i just got back home and will try everything you guys have teold me to do thks for the help will be back soon
ok here is what happend i alt erase 3 times it wirked but still it will not erase flash/eeprom i think may there is still life leave in this thing you guys will knw better me and it is a 10 pin and how do i chk the fuses sorry i am a newbie but i knw who to make the card work lol

Open a Jeepers.
1. choose atmega fuse/lock bits
2. Set LO fuse to AE then write fuses.
If you have an atmega with a ceramic resonator instead of a crystal this may not be necessary.
AF (chooses ceramic resonator option (amongst other things))
AE (chooses crystal option etc)
Lock bits----check all for FF
Fuse Lo-------check CKSEL1,2,3, SUT1, and BODLEVEL for AE
Fuse Hi-------check BOOTRST, EESAVE, and OCDEN for 89
Fuse Ext------check all for FF
this will leave you with FF AE 89 FF and then click write and exit
Close Jeepers and open Phoenix 1.18.
Virginize card.
Run Wizard. Make sure crystal speed is 4.50 NOT 4.5.
When Phoenix is finished, open Jeepers and check fuses again. Reset if necessary. Lo fuse AE works for me but you might need AF.

If you are using Phoenix to erase your card and failed , use Jeepers to erase it, it worked for me.

Everyone is invited to the funeral of our deceased buddy Atmega. He was shot and mortally wounded by some guy called Bill. Atmega died during Christmas and leaves behind all those who loved sports and PPV's. Let's hope someone can pull a Lazerus on him. LOL,LOL.LOL.

I had the same problem before. The jeepers won't let me go to the program mode. That PFG what you put into your card, locked it, other words it changed the lock/ Fuse settings settings. You have to jumper the 4th row of pins on your Atmega, open the jeepers than
1.choose Atmega fuse/lock bits
Lock bits----check all for FF
Fuse Lo-------check CKSEL1,2,3, SUT1, and BODLEVEL for AE
Fuse Hi-------check BOOTRST, EESAVE, and OCDEN for 89
Fuse Ext------check all for FF
this will leave you with FF AE 89 FF and then click write and exit
That saves my Atmega. After that the jeepers let you erase and program yours Atmega card.
jst got in thks for all the help guys i will try each one tonite and let you knw the out come again thks to each and everyone of you that is helping with this even if the there say the 128 is dead lol lol yeah right!!! it will be up soon i hope

i think it still has life but the coders won't work on it until all the others are working properly, (usb256, fta's,enigmas.....etc....) was'nt that the case the last time. everything was working great then bam......someone did a fix and back to life came the 128.....i'm sure when the coders get bored they will bring it back to life once again.......patience

I have tried using an Atmega 128 board with Max232A. In fact I just completed it yesterday as a project.
Surprise to say it works.
You just need to solder 2 wires from the test pins of the Atmega 128 toyour Max 232A or Max233A.
Just remember the pins for Max232 and Max233 are different.
In my setup I used a Max232A.
What I also did was included the IC socket for the 2313 on my project board. This is just in case I want to use a 2313 and remove the Atmega 128.
But it works.
