anybody know how to unlock a 103??

I was using romcode to update my key's as usual but it failed during the write...usually when this happens I just reload the original image and write it again without any problems but this time it went unkown provider and I'm locked out of the card!!! it won't take the default romcode password and it won't read the card to let me write the clean image back to it....when I open romcode it has the atr and the card type say's: ROM103 Rev38A, but there is no more info....at the bottom by status it say's Error: Timeout while reading from CommPort....I tried searching for the unlock code but when I do that it just sticks on Zero % and seems to freeze up romcode...anybody know what I can do to solve this??

first thing to do is check the power cord is connected to card reader correctly? also, check above sticky for unknown provider. if that does not work, try a search. good luck!

ya I checked the power cord...I also did everything in the sticky before I posted...when I try the code search it say's to do in the sticky, it sticks on zero % and romcode freezes up for some reason..

what I don't understand is why romcode is freezing after I do the search for unlock code......does that mean my iso is messed up??

That never worked for me either, i was able to clean the card in RC, but not program it, so I cleaned it in romcode and the wrote the original bin back to the card using N2edit it wouldnt write it with Nagraedit for me, hope this helps. just curious what operating system r u using on ur pc, and what kind of iso are u using?

thats what I used to do if I had a failed write..I would unlock, clean and load original image in N2Edit, then program with RC....but this time it seems that I am locked out..and none of the passwords I have entered work...and for some reason when I try to search for unlock code in RC it just stays at zero % and RC freezes up...it's reading the ATR and the rom and rev but it has locked me out from doing anything else, when I hit clean card in RC it comes up "error reading from commport"....anybody know how to glitch back into these?? my OS is XP and my ISO is the one in Milli's store...

This happen to me, it's a com port problem .Restart your computer. that will reset your com port

cban is right, but if that doesnt work you might need an unlocker to glitch it open, that would a last resort, I did it once to my rom 102 rev 103 popped it open 3 secs, and i came to find that my iso was a piece of shit, i only got it for 35 bucks so I bought a good one, a nexus iso. ever since that never had that unknown provider problem, what kind of iso are you using?

I just tried restarting the computer and it didn't fix it....I'm not sure what kind of iso I have..whatever kind you get from milli's store...where do you get the good iso's at? do the unlockers work on 103's?

well the iso u got from milli should be good, and look in the files section for unlocking scripts for your 103, use one that matches the rev your card is at

just looked in the file section and didn't see any scripts for unlocking 103's....I don't have a loader I only have an iso....I guess I have to find a new 103 card or get someone to try to unlock this one....

when I do this it seems to freeze up Romcode....anybody know why it freezes?? is it a comm port setting problem? or is it a sign that my iso isn't operating properly??

dont know but when u try to read it in n2edit what does it say

when I read with n2edit the ATR comes up...the cam type and Rev are 103 Rev38A....Provider is unknown and then it fails to read card image...I've tried entering the default unlock code and I've tried these codes to unlock as well:

nothing works...and when I try the search for unlock code it just seems to stick on zero % and romcode freezes up...which is what I find weird...if it is freezing when I do the search for unlock code maybe that means there is a problem with the iso??

Try using RC and where it says backdoor code type in "unlock" and let it run. The letters will not appear, but it is running and let it run for a while. Sometimes takes an hour to do the trick.

The coder says that is what happens and it is still running so let it fly for an hour or so and get back and let us know. I am in China so I cnnot test from here.

What do you have your pc com port 1 settings on ?? Should be 115200.

Also change flow control from none to hardware.

changed my commport to those settings and it didn't help...I let the search for unlock code go all night yesterday and it didn't even budge off zero percent and froze up romcode.. I think it needs to be glitched into to open it.
