For emu you have to have a open card (250 bucks here) and a iso reader/writer and a computer and do some reading and get some asprin for the headaches. I use emu its great but difficult for novice.

The 128s will come back up might take a while. I wouldn't say dead just injured. They have been around forever someone always pulls a fix out just my take. Get a 256 atmega 89 bucks from mili its an easy solution and dependable and a cheap non-loopable solution.

EMU is Emulation which involves plugging your reciever into a computer and having the computer simulate the card. The only thing working well in emulation atm is ST19 with aux card which basically means you need a 102 card.

You also need an iso programmer not just a card. The card has to be open with Perkys aux on it. You will also need a maxmel board or some type of emu device such as a modded 128 card. Basically you need a lot more than just a usb 256 atmega.

128's not dead, just down. I've heard that "dead" remark many times over the years, and somehow it always seems to come back.

102s being $250? Wow, I think that's changed. At least the banner displayed now shows "market price". I'm not sure what "market price" is for here, but everywhere else you can pick them up for $70 to $90 open, easy. I've even seen them cheaper than that in some cases. Maybe things changed since thew latest ECMs, but not enough to drive them up over $100.

Find me 10 at $100 and you can pocket the difference. I think you might need to recheck what 102's are fetching these days. At $150 you're getting a bargain...

FTA remarks go in FTA section,
when will you people learn?

Keep your fta comment in the correct forum not here in our sections,

The topic is about atmega128's

NOWHERE do I see FTA in the topic.

notice you fta people we are deleting your post in out of place threads with no explanation.
If you dont like it please go to a FTA forum and sign up as a member there.

We offer an FTA section cause of CROW492(he rocks), he runs it well and if not or him you would all be signed up at another place.

other than that,,I think the 128 may seem one breath or two but thats it, things have just got to mathematical.
