Hi,

I currently have a 33" dish pointed at 121, for the international channels. However, some of the international channels on that satellite have moved to 118.5. I'm about to move my dish, that's pointing to 121, over to 118.5. Do I have to buy a different lnb in order to receive 118.5, or is it just a matter of re-aligning my dish?
Thanks

search for dish500+ or dish1000+ . OR circular 11.7 - 12.7[5] L.O. 10750 // circular 11.7 - 12.5 L.O. 10600 single or dual LNB[s] .

I'm asking a simple question. Is it just a matter of aiming my dish to 118? Isn't the lnb that's used for 121 the same as the one used for the 118 sat?

No it's different LNB. Your 121 will not work, at list not on all transponders.

if you know how to do it yourself it will save you some money, buy the 118 LNB kit ( that's what installers call it ) is a free exchange if you are a customer of Dish, I just had it done
Our club will have it done ( cost $230.00) a rip off, homes are free, commercial customers have to pay and we pay more to have the channels.
Stupidity I think or a ripoff

To my understanding the 118 kit will receive multiple satellites. I just need 118 because I already have two dishes pointed at 110 & 119.

1) Is it possible to get the lnb just for the 118?
2) How big must your dish be to catch sat 118?

Thanks

The 118 kit is 119/118 together
Do not know if 118 lnb is sold alone
20'" dish would be good enough
I have Superdish

So then if I just replace the lnb on my 20" dish pointed at 119 with the 118 kit I should be good, right?

Will I automatically catch 118.7 once I replace the lnb on my dish that's pointed at 119? Also, what transponders should I enter for the 118.7 sat and how strong or how week should I expect the signal to be on these transponders?

I greatly appreciate it.

No you won't
You'll have to peak it and get the best signal
Transponder 30 at the moment I am getting 85 (RTPi )
You'll need to get a signal of at least in the 80's otherwise w/rain or snow you'll loose it
For some reason the tech that was here could not do better
110 and 119 I get in the 120's
