change rec soft version 3900

hi,

I have the 3900 /r004477936x and the software say p236clfa-n but after letting the rec allninhgt upgrading the soft ver still say the samething, 236 why?

elbobo it should update as long as you have good sat signal and you turn off the receiver for a couple hours or so. Leave atmega in the cardslot (not sure if card has to be in rec., but it can't hurt). The rec must be OFF to update. OR, If you can jtag the receiver, you can download tsop and eeprom files for your 3900 rec that is "3900 public no-rsa" that has a newer software than your 236, something in the 350 range and write those to your rec. Then select public no-rsa in phoenix for the keyset. Save a copy of your original tsop file incase you need it later. Also, make sure your using "phoenix 1.2.3".
