Laptop cable - will this work?

I got one to program the dish and use the pcmia card.It is from
www.socketcom.com.When you get it let me know and I will walk you how to change the com port to 1 is is werid how to get it done.And this thing works great.I have had trouble with the usb to serial.Let me know if this helps.
