i read a while back there's a scrambler (portable) that you turn on and it blocks all incoming calls on all cellphones around you for 100ft....(it's fcc regulated)
i am sick of stupid people changing the rings on their cell phone 24/7! back in the day there was only one ring tone i knew "rrring" AND THATS IT! people should understand that there is two places that u dont use a cell phone: movie theaters and churches! unless ure talking to jesus, TURN IT OFF
You forgot restaurants (ok for MacD or BK) and hospitals. Ringtones are a Business and that $1 each time one wishes to be 'cool' adds up when I'd hazard a guess 80% of teens aged 15-19 have cells (Parents do it for 'safety' and shit in their pants when the first bill comes in).
Also, modern cellular phones have a silent vibrate option but of course one would have to be courteous and respective of others to use it. :-(
Since this Forum also covers unlocking, seems Apple screwed everyone with unlocked iPhones that took the firmware upgrade........very tacky move for a consumer friendly, we're just one of the guys and we love you Company.
BULLSHIT!! ^

you can make an RF jammer.. its pocketsize and runs off a 3V6 lithium-ion battery.. fits in a pack of camel smokes.. Seen schematics on it, would have costed me around $300 to build one, and around $500 to build 10 (damn shipping and purchase discounts)
They are illegal to use anywhere in north america, but block ALL RF communications between like 100mhz and 5ghz for a span of 30-100m.
so no radio, cell phone, pager, blackberry, wifi, car alarms.. jams everything.
