The 301-010 uses a LSI processor instead of the STs found in other 301s.
LSI control errors are similiar, but still different, to DCU errors in the ST receivers. Means jkeys is not in full command of the LSI processor.

This error usually means that you have erased the boot sector of flash2. Without that area intact, you must slow program the ird. This can take an agonizing amount of time. Use a program like w.a.r. to rewrite the first (20,000 i think) bytes of flash 2, then reboot and flash normally. There are a few excellent guides out there on how to do it quickly and easily..
edit: Best one is "Resurrecting Your 301-3100"

Here's what you do:
1. Open Jkeys, go to flash prog. and erase flash 2 (U23) three times (full erase). Without closing jkeys or unplugging the ird, re-flash U23. Now close Jkeys and unplug ird.
2. Plug in and re-open Jkeys. Go to flash prog and erase Flash 1 (U22) two times (full erase). Close and unplug.
3. Plug back in and open Wall. Erase Flash 1, 1FE00000 (U22), length 20000, two times. Load new flash1 and write same address and default length of 1F0000. Close and unplug.
4. Plug in and open Jkeys. Notice all info displayed. (Maybe create virgin eeprom with flashedit and write using jkeys, if desired.)
This process has always worked with any ird. Just make sure your ground connection to chassis is very good.

EAEA is build config of flash while EAED represents the eeprom, which is shown on the sticker inside ird. This should match build config of flashes. So you're good to go as long as your new flashes are EAEA. Don't worry about the EAED unless you're planning to write a virgin eeprom as well. If you like your settings including your favorite lists, then leave the eeprom flash alone.

A -010 is not build particular.
But the eeprom should match the flash as illustrated by talinn_man.
I use EAEA for the ALL the -010s I do with a EAED eeprom.
