black screen and dvr510

i just got a 510 dvr and read the card for boxkeys and ird and programmed with romcode and its black on all channels does this mean i need a vid mod done to it to ff the sk or am i just missing something ,i get all the preview channels but the others just show title then black ,no error messages ,,thanks in advance

You either need a private keyset w/Sks or you need to go public no-rsa or romcode private bin.

Any case will require tsop edits, so best read up on vid mods cause you gonna need it.
