B3v is announcing an E661 firmware update request for the 5100, 5800 and 5900 receivers on channel 230 (their software channel). My 5900 is currently on E553 firmware.

B3v states that it is a change to the PVR selection and search interfaces. I suspect that it will make it function like the current HD PVR does for B3v (I think it's the 9242 cardless receiver).

Can't confirm if there are any hidden changes in the firmware update.

Should I take the update on my 5900?

i took update on5100 to e661 now i got 005 nag have tryed to reprog card same ,but when i reflashed we553 works great any ideas? oh rom 102 rev 248
