My folks have a sub near the Brownsville area and get most channels are around 75% signal strength but on transponder 24, I am told it is 0. Other Canucks with the same setup report the same thing. Is there anyone here from that area that can get it and what size of dish does it take? Thank you.

Sid

TSN and BNN and some others have a very small footprint and you will not get, am near Brownsville as well. Get further north and all is good. Weird you get local Sudbury and not TSN huh?

I am from the Houston area
And a have a dish 500 (legacy)
And I get 92 - 95 on 119-100
If they are truing to get Bell Vue that need a bigger dish,
that are way out of the footprint

If you are in Houston and use a second dish you should get TSN and BNN etc on b3V

Check it out - easy bird to find and yes, porn outside of one channel is ok. Am using N91 here for the winter and miss it when its down - its nice to see what's happening in the great white as long as you're not there! Lot of the same channels as DN, but many different as well. Think there is 450 video and about 80 music off this bird.

If the signal was like 30%, I would say there would be hope for using a bigger dish but with 0, maybe its not possible to get enough gain.:(

Have heard it is footprint of tp as well as distance/earth's curvature. Get 70+ %signal here, but on channels 400, 405, 407, 428, 453, 456, 460-461, 492, 501, 504 etc etc signal is zero. What can you do when you live in a shoe?
