freezing with st19xl dish

I have a pvr 501 which randomly freezes then the receiver resets 5 to 20 times per day. It worked fine up until version 2.6.17. 2.6.19 has the same problem.
I am running in windows with 2.41ghz processor. Any ideas?

I use a 510 and a 501 without any reset problems but there are some that do. There is a "reset mod" that can done to stop this. I have read that it does correct the resetting.

I did the reset mod a long time ago, all has been fine up intil the recent updates. the 508 and 501 both do the same. freeze for about 30 seconds then it resets

what are running, with or without aux, auxshare, superforge.

Hopefully someone will be more help than I have been but the only thing since its been working and it does the same on all of them would be to delete your current st19 and redownload another one and see if that helps.

Did you figure out your problem? I setup my first 510 yesterday and am having exact same problem. Running version 2.6.17 and maxmel with reset mod. I switched to plastic and it works fine, so I'm thinking it is stxl that is my problem. I'm going to try switching to version 2.6.19 tomorrow and see if that fixes it though I doubt it since you said it did'nt work for you. I found this post on another site and I am going to try that also in the a.m. I needed to change my aux card timing to 200, I started at 600 and worked my way down, I have found that the 501 are very slow recivers, and they need the extra time. I will post back with results, please do the same if you figure it out. Thanks, liv2hak.

Don't know what I was thinking I'm not running an aux card right now since it's not necessary right now. Any ideas what else it could be?

Switched to st19xl-2.6.19 and worked fine also working fine with st19xl-2.6.21. Syncmaster, have you tried st19xl-2.6.21 without anaux card?

Hey sync, did you get yours going. I setup my other 510 today for stxl and am having the same trouble all over again with this one. I didn't have any more max232 so I used a 2313/1489 with reset mod instead. Running the latest stxl with public numbers. Works great with plastic and public, but when I switch back to emu I get the freeze and then reset every 1- 3 hours. Going to work on figuring it out more tomorrow. my mc1489 chip was bad, I think. The pvr's produce some heat so where you mount the emu may also make a difference. working good now

Thanks sync. So you just replaced the 1489 and that fixed your freezing then reset problem? Could you tell me what flash you are using? I could'nt find any flash specificaly for 2313/1489. I just assumed that 2313/1489 and 2313/232 both use the same 2 chip flash. Is this correct? Thanks a lot for the help, liv2hak.

Thanks sync, I was using 2-Chip Cemu Rom102 Rev10C_AutoRoll flash. Switched to n2_102_10C_2313_2chip_ironhead and been running flawless for about 5 hours now. Not sure but it sure looks like that first flash was my problem.

having the same problem with a 4900, I was using it with an auxcard before the last update. Now I am running card less with. I am pretty sure the resetting is due to auxshare. I have not tried it with an aux card yet... bu t I may if it gets too annoying
