it can be set to anything that whoever owned the receiver puts it too. You can save the eeprom and then make it virgin using flashedit, then reload it. when you do this the lock may still be there but just hit the ok button and it should work. Don't try to put any numbers in where they go.

if you save the eeprom, open in notepad, scroll and you will see 4 digits together... but easier just, just write a virgin eeprom.

if that isn't an option, you can take your eeprom pin6 and ground it. plug in the ird, and wait for 20 seconds, and turn the ird on with the remote and then punch in any 4 digit pass you want... unplug
and then disconnect pin6 and ground... plug in and then unlock with your pass.

Really? I've never heard that one! Where or how did you find that out?

Interesting.......I loaded a virgin eeprom and compared it with the same file only with a password put in. There were about 15 different byte changes scattered throughout the file. None of which reflected the 4 lock digits. Not even if I convert the 4 digit number to hex. It didn't use to be that way. The 4 lock digits used to be easily recognizable in the dump. Now it's like they are encrypted and scattered in the file.

yes they got around us doing that, use to be 8 bytes, had some digits inbetween every byte of the password, but they got rid of that
