Think Dave will foot out the nine figs, or is this the end of PVR for dave as we know it?

This is really bad for DN. If they are forced to disable PVR functions in existing customer's boxes, they will lose massive market share when those customers jump to the many other providers that can provide PVR functions. Once you go PVR, you never go back.

Jesus christ now we are gonna have to hack DVR. I bet reactivation of the features or a simple spoofing of the firmware will be possible so we can hold off on losing them for quite some time, but that is bad

Mr Ergen better crack open that checkbook....he's fitt'n to lose 90% of his customer base.
Of course he will write that check. What really sucks is my legit sub is probably going to go up $10 to help pay for it.

Dish still has to compete with dtv which will limit sub prices but bev gets its irds from dish so this will effect both providers!
