There is no way to pinpoint who started this, most likely a script kiddy with a ready made software where you enter a URL and press a button then a bunch of computers infected with a backdoor start asking for the same page over and over and over again overloading a server. No skill is involved and definately no brain either.

then while the site is down.
knock out the fire wall.
get through a back door.
del the database.
knock down the backups.
setup a remote spy.
dl flash bios.
stop it 1/2 way through
cause the server to be no good.
and of cousre do all this through 100'ds of proxy server so it wont be traced.

Wouldn't be the Providers, DOS attacks are illegal and don't think it's FTA guys. This site since it's based offshore can't contact the FBI, only thing possible is send the IPs to the Internet Service Providers and let them investigate as the waste of bandwidth is costing them MONEY!
