Hi i had a 3900 Dish rec for years no prob now i get a black box in middle of screen.

i had it j taged and tested else where and it worked fine

but at my place still geting that box

what kind of tv you running on? is it a HD? i had a friend last year that i hooked up on a hd tv and it would do that as well, let me know if that is your setup?

Yes 46in projection

try to change the channel a few times, if i remember correctly there was some wierd parental control on my buddies tv that made that happen, cant put my finger on what it was right now tried to contact him but no answer, also if you can try another tv with the ird to see if it stops that will eliminate the idea of a bad ird, let me know again plz.

Got it had cc on on tv turned it off
and no black box.
