I've been using FTA the last couple of years, but I've decided to dig out my old Dp 301-010 receiver from the closet and try Romcode with my Rom 102.

I used to have a guy program my card for me but he moved away. So, anyway on the underside of my reciever he wrote 2 sets of numbers/keys with feltpen. I believe one of them is my box keys?? Can you tell me what they are.

first number is your receiver number but it doesn`t look right too many numbers and the second one is your box keys.

Ok, so since I have the box keys written down I don't need to Jtag my receiver. Right? I can just go ahead & purchase Romcode, and enter box keys manually.

Am I right or totally off?

Do I need to do anything with my receiver number?

WITHOUT SAT CONNECTED ......put card in ird and and if it starts acquiring sat signal then your card matches and you are all set to use romcode. if it says card is not valid for this reciever then you may need to jtag. make sure the sat feed is NOT connected.

I guess I'm good to go. I put the card in the ird without sat connection and it started acquiring signal.

Thanks.

Yep, your ird and card are married so you are good to go.

Make sure you read and save the image you already have on your card (before programming with the RomCode blocker).

Just in case you need it in the future.

Also, if you have a JTAG available, it may be handy to read and save the TSOPs from your IRD.
