Enigma vs magic

I used to be into dss and have taken a few years off. I ran across some old eeprom backups on my desktop and it made me decide and see if Mili was still around, which I'm happy to see that he is! I was last around when the Magic cards were used. I quit the hobby when the Magic card no longer worked. Does the Enigma card kind of replace the magic card? Can I use an enigma card in my 501 (pvr)?

You might want to go to enigma card website and read the forums there. Enigma has been problematic with support. I have 2 and stopped using them for other solutions. Check out the fab5 256 usb atmega or st19xl emulator or even an armulator. I think you will be much happier in the long run. Mili sells the 256 usb atmega here. I don't have one of those to test so I can't give any 1st hand feed back. I do have armulator and st19xl running and can recommend both of those. Remember that Plastic is the most reliable. All solutions will and do go down.

These cards are junk. Buy an FTA. Viewsat or Sonicview if you want something for your money. I have a plastic (not aux and not private blocker) and st19 emu/with aux. I never had ONE DAY without tv. Am I just lucky?????????????

Usb256 is not junk its just been shaky lately. Can you call the atmega 128 junk? its virtually the same thing with more memory. You will get your 80bucks worth out of it. Just not all at the same time.

You stay down in FTA before you get in real trouble

Get a real ROM102 with a Romcode blocker then your downtime will be minimal if any.
