I have read on several sites that 2.6.21 is up with Aux card on BEV. Don't touch BEV personally so can't give a 1st hand on it

It works jack. My b3v with that setup never went down. It's
been working without a hitch since ST19XL 2.6.21 came out.

Auxshare is a program that supplies the info for the map calls hard coded into
the program.
Auxcard is a rom 102 programmed with perkys Aux 1.23 that the st19xl program
uses to access map calls directly from a card in a programmer.
in a nutshell. auxshare = cardless Auxed card means a real rom 102 in the setup.

Don't know if it makes any difference but i'm using a 301-010 converted to
a 3100 converted over a year ago with public numbers. It's still at rev E542.
If I remember correctly I used a no rsa tsop to convert.

So you have a true 102 card in the IRD? Or can you use one of those max/mel cards that has a wire from it to the serial port? Sorry for the questions, Im fairly new at this, I was just recently succesful with the max/mel stxl19/w Auxshare.
Thanks.

With an Auxed card you program Perky's aux 1.23 onto the card and leave the card in your ISO loader, the loader hooks into the computer and on a 2nd serial port you run it out to a max/mel EMU into the card slot of the receiver.
Basically the computer emulates the card in ram, but goes to the card for any map calls it may need.
When running Auxshare, instead of going to the card for the map calls, it goes to the auxshare program.
The whole point of ST19 is that it emulates the cam, takes live updates and you don't have to worry about getting a card looped.

zhakrin, yes. ST19XL emulates card functions. The updates are required as its not a complete emulator, and does not emulate directly the functions a ROM102 serves to decrypt N2. Its a 'generic' ST19XL processor emulator, which 'legally' cannot include co-processor functions (IE MAPROM) that are written specifically for ROM102/N2 decryption, as its copyright. This is why an auxed ROM102 card is used so it can request directly from the co-processors how to do a certain command the N2 stream is after, or any other required ST19 process.
Auxshare is coded to emulate the specific functions that ST19XL is calling upon the aux card for. It works identical as an aux card but does not contain all the functions of a ROM102 - which is why it don't require a ROM102 and why it is not 100% reliable like using a true ROM102. Needless to say this program is a gift for those who cannot find or afford a ROM102 and ISO programmer, at least when the functions could be accuratly emulated...
The updates are to the CAM image only - not to the program itself. It has limitations on what it can do. It will however update with the stream, so you don't have to worry much about keys or routines being out of date and needing patching. Just leave it stream a Rom103/240 image for a few days and you will be at current revision.

thanks for the info guys... what I am wondering is that if these FTA units are working on older bins, then how come the stxl19/auxshare wouldnt work on them also.... am I missing the point completly?
Thanks
