IRD 322 Dish E Jtag

when i got my Dish 322 all guys said oh you cant read the files on this ird ., you cant write to it., and i have not done that .
I took off the I cam , and didnt do anything with it , anyhow i modded the card slot so it reads .
in the file shop there are files and some thing about modem dowload upload ., to the firmware ., but they dont say how .
i would like to now how i can read write to my ird so i can use it, so who would and can help please.

They can ejtag them but I do not htink they can read/write all of the memory only sections of it, if the 322 was ex sub then you woulnd't have to read the receiver. I seen some stuff on it in the file shop, keep looking around

the ird i have have not been in stream since 2005 ., so from what i have been reading it might not update ., so what iam tryen to say if i can be told shown how to etag jtag ...etc, i would be able to update the firmeware on the ird and then i can use it.
Iam i on the right track, or i didnt understand what those files are for.??

This doesnt make no sense at all... Am pretty sure the rev is a low one on that 322 so just glitch it open dont worry about what firmware or anything about that the 322 will update itself once image is working good in there correctly.... So just glicth it open if it lower then rev388.........

well iam pretty sure i was told it wont update many times., but i will have to wait and see ., hope in few days ill get my new 4619 and ill get it open ., the unlocker i had ran and ran for nothing., anyhow , so you sayen i dont need to do nothing with firmware.??, anyhow , when you realy bored look in the file shop and see those files firmware update ... i would still like tonow how they or its done ., i dont think you need the 800 bucks programmer and Intel work station to take chips out in ...etc., if thats the case forget about it i cant aford all those tools., if its simple and all we shall try.

Well, just want to chim in of what I know off hand from a friend that had a dozen of 322s at rev380, most of them has firmware below L200, only 3 updated itself to L422 from L240, and L242..other below L200 not even try to update. So then he got another (7) 322s at firmware L244, but only 3 of them updated to recent level, the other 4 went into 'Boot Recovery 061' after trying to update and stucked there. So it really hit and miss with those old firmware. Now, he then got 522/625 Ejtag instruction from the download and tried to Ejtag those 322s but there is no picture of Jtag points on the 322 only on the 522 and it different. You need a program call Cgwin and create anothe with Hyper Terminal in order to Ejtag. With that said, he is now stuck at Cgwin that 'Ejag_client.exe 0x378' command not found, but that is a another thread. Just want to say that this is not an easy task, and yes Ejtag may be the only way to get those 322s firmware update to recent level.

Anyone tried to remove the EPROM...Place in a 301.010 IRD. Read and then Virginize it with Flashedit and then replace it in the 322?
