i have a sonicicview 4000 receiver and still trying to get echo 119 sat. i changed my lnb thinking that would help me get the signal, but to luck. i was wondering if i had to get a stonger lnb to help me get 119. i live on the west coast of british columbia, 30 km north of prince rupert. and by the way the lnb type i have on there now is standard/ input-12.2-12.7/ output-950-1450mhz. i have no problem picking up nimiq 91 and when i swing to 148 i get 100% on that sat. when i swing it to 119 sat i get only 30% , don't know why i can't get the signal hight. moved my sat and still the same. HELP PLEASE!

You are too far north to pull down 119 with a strong signal. Even with a 1.2 m dish it will be a little iffy. I am in Edmonton and can get most of 110 when it is nice out, but 119 is too weak on most transponders to even bother. Footprint for 110 and 119 ends just north of the border. Try 129, you might be able to get that bird, but you will most likely get the in and out wobble signal!

up in slave lake, 250km or so NW of edmonton I found 129 west with a 20" BEV pan at 55-60% tried locating 110 no luck at all and i didnt even try 119. Being that you are in edmonton, what is the best transponder to search for 110? I am thinking i am searching on a transponder with spotbeamed locals. Thanks

You wull probably be getting the 129 drop off every 20 minutes or so. I don't know which transponder will be the best, try Lyngsat for that. But I think you are using a dish that will be too small to pull in 110. I am using a 39" dish, and it wan't easy to find 110 with that. Plus I get a lot of signal drop when it rains, snows, or cloudy!
