Auxed card is working not working for cardless should have said that in my first post
didn't work cardless for me with or without the latest keys. even tried it on my linux boot floppy. no cigar. got lucky the last time. the st19 update worked on the linux boot floppy without the auxshare update but my luck run out this round. looks like we'll have to wait and see if Slasher or LB can work something out.

Hey pecker88 how is yours running with superforge? I tried Superforge with the same setup as before when it was flawless, all I did was replace the ST19, and i'm getting long freezes every 10-12 minutes. I have switched to just the one ird with an aux card and hasnt froze in 20 minutes. Just checking to see if anyone else is experiencing freezing with Superforge.
thanks

Thanks nomore4u,
I guess Auxshare and Superforge may need an update.

How long did it take for the keys to roll? I'm asking since I just got st19xl set up with AUX while st19xl was down and I only received the barker channels. I changed out the st19xl with the v2.6.24 on my boot floppy and I've been waiting for awhile now (1/2 hour) and still no audio/video except on the barker channels.
On the initial startup st19 does detect the AUX card and indicates that on the monitor. The command line in the autoexec has the /a switch for AUX Card. Since I've never had this running before except for the barker channels, I don't know if its just waitingfor thekeys to roll or if I have a problem with my tiers or something else. Any advice?
Thanks,

Try Snooping and see if the card info is scrolling. Click "S" for snooping on.
It does take awhile the first time but 30 minutes sounds a bit long.

I have the /s switch in the st19 command line in my autoexec and I'm watching it scroll on the monitor. As I said, st19 does detect the AUX card and indicates that just before it starts to scroll, and the barker channels are working.

I run the windows version but, did you replace both files that were the in dos folder, not just the st19. You need both.

If you never have saved your cor file it can take 15 to 30 minutes for the
latest updates to the cam to enable key rolls.
By updates I mean the latest mecm. It has to be on the cor for st19 to
change the keys properly. It will do this automatically but can take
quite awhile to do it.
If you are going to save your cor i recommend making a backup before
you do. So you have a known working version just in case.

let me guess...
last time you shut down your emu setup, you just hit the power button or closed the st19 windows?? That was likely about 4 days ago.
Now, you update to latest st19 and boot up the pc and all black screen...
Why? The latest code that was present 4 days ago in ram was NOT saved back to the floppy disk (.cor file) becasue the prgram was closed or pc was tuned off.
Next time, hit Q on the keyboard to stop st19. In doing so, the .cor file will be updated just before st19 shuts down.
Then, all you do is put latest st19 on floppy, and reboot and you will get video instantly b/c latest updates (0101, 0106 keys, and mecm code) are already in your .cor file.
good luck

SmilingJack, Just wondering why you added "Does not work with CEMU" to my post? The "works with a 102 only" I can see, but CEMU has nothing to do with ST19XL.
The cemu emulation software was developed around the Rom3/10(Nagra1) days and has been updated by certain individuals over the years to work with the N2 stream. ST19XL however, was created by PGM and
and emulates the ST19 processor and works using a rom102/103 bin file (st19.cor)
The 2 sotware packages both use a max/mel (MAX2313/Amtel2313) interface to communicate with an Echostar IRD. Just seen some posts from you that might confuse some of members that are new to the hobby, just want to make sure that everyone is on the same page about CEMU and ST19XL being totally different.

Recently, with some of the releases of ST19 that did not require an auxcard, SmilingJack has taken to putting the label "Cemu" on it, or calling it "ST19 for Cemu", because they would basically work with the same hardware setup. Many of us have tried to explain the differences betweem Cemu and ST19 to SmilingJack.

NO. REAL aux required.
superforge: method of sharing a single aux card over a network to several irds.
Currently, SF is causing freezing issues.

I know, I have both. Since he was putting the CEMU on it because they would basically work with the same hardware setup. So the CEMU would have TV too, the CEMU program were not out yet.
.
Not any more, this release he did not put the map room in it.
That "sign" was to tell people it would not work for CEMU, only for ST19, with plastic

Awww. That will require cabling two serial ports? Don't have that cable :(
Damn. Any way around the serial cable? I have 2 serial ports, and can handle the plastic load. But is there a way to avoid the serial cable?

You'll need 2 free com ports. One for the ISO to read your 102, the other port will go to the ird. So yeah, you'll need 2 cables.
