I live in chicago. I use a dish 500 with a skew of 90 degrees, 40 or 41 elevation, and point the dish south south eastish but almost dead south. Easy to get BEV.

Depending on your city, you'll have to aim east. If you're in Abilene (99.4 W) aim 8 degrees east of due south. Please feel free to correct if I'm misinformed.
